The graphics driver was the issue on initial install - there wasn't one. I installed a vista 64 bit one for gma 3150. To be fair it shouldn't really be working at all lol. But it runs really well! It just doesn't do colour where it should. I did manage to apply some manual colours - it works in some areas but not others. So it makes it slightly harder to use (for example "Paint" is entirely grey so icons harder to see). Anyway as I can't complain as the fact that it even runs on an atom netbook is amazing. I just wondered though, whether it was to do with the graphics/graphics driver, or whether it was to do with the rufus legacy install. I guess the only way to tell would be to use the rufus legacy install on a machine that does get a graphics driver installed by Windows.Try updating the graphics drivers. Also you can manually select colors and if these apply to the taskbar and windows borders as well.
