Gave Dell touch screen with Windows 11 to daughter and got me an OTVOC. Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
Nice board. I love ASUS motherboards. They are built solidly and perform great. I never had a lick of trouble with any of the ASUS boards that i have owned. The ROG STRIX series are great performers, but sometimes a little overpriced. You're getting a great deal. Just make sure you get the full warranty.

And make sure you get the Intel patches in BIOS if you need them. I suggest a BIOS upgrade right out of the box. Just my thing, but I like to use the latest BIOS anyway. In the case of an Intel 13th or 14th gen CPU, they are imperative.

I wish I could say I've never had any issues with ASUS system boards but tbh I've had to RMA a few. Jay from JayzTwoCents had a bit to say about this.

To be fair, that video is a year old and I'm hoping ASUS has pulled up their socks since because they were well known for quality and endurance as well as standing behind their product. I also think that if you deal in volume sooner or later the odds will catch up to you. I've slowed down on building PCs for other people so I'm not personally that concerned about it anymore. Still, I like to stay informed and Catnip is absolutely correct. Latest BIOS for 13 and 14th Intel gens is essential.

And there will be new BIOS with microcode 0x12F with more improvements to the voltages coming down the pike.

There isn't. I modded my BIOS to replace the microcode.

Probably wise to dial down the voltages as soon as you get it first. From there you can make the necessary adjustments after flashing the BIOS.

Gave Dell touch screen with Windows 11 to daughter and got me an OTVOC. Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
This new asus board is a major difference.... It boots quick as heck... I have not even made adjustments and just updated the bios. Too me is a major upgrade from the msi... I'm not sure how people can take the slow boot time on the msi.. This is about a sixth of the time. Maybe more... I think there may have been something wrong with it because I don't see other people talking about it.

Occasionally one will get a bad board. It has happened to me. Even ASUS will slip on occasion in their quality control department. I'm glad to learn that your new board is working out for you. It always helps to get off to a good start. (y)

I have an MSI board that is pretty slow to boot if you have more than one drive. It's lickety-split quick if you only have an Nvme drive though. Zoom.

I never spent too much time worrying about a few seconds of boot time, I only do that once in a while.

It was more than a few sec... I should have recorded it... It was a min of six times slower.. Maybe more.... When I see the windows logo it's two sec and I see icons... With the msi I would see the logo spin... And spin... For 20 plus sec..... In post the black screen seems to have lasted forever... Now it's normal.. Quick black and message.... I did check to see if it was a setting but it wsd still set at 3 sec like I like it.
