I'm not certain this did not present itself until after the 22H2 update, but Right-Clicking on This PC no longer offers a 'Map Network Drive' or 'Disconnect Network Drive' option.

I've tried all the suggested answers wrt the registry such as disabling the key that allows admins to specifically hide those options from users, but to no avail (e.g. Add or Remove "Map network drive" and "Disconnect network drive" context menu in Windows 11 Tutorial) I can map/disconnect drives from the command prompt using Net Use but not via the GUI.

This is what I see when Right-Clicking on This PC:

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

Per your image it looks like you didn't expand the arrow. Click "Network" and click the arrow to the left of it. If it shows drives, right click the drive you want to map :-)

Right Clicking on Network shows the shares I've setup before this issue occurred, but still no Map Network Drive.

As I said, I can setup mapped drives via CMD or Powershell, but no context menu choice.

Here is my Show Other Options menu right-clicking on Network or right-clicking on any machine/NAS with already setup shares.

Yes, I'm fully aware of what I *should* be seeing in my context menu. That's why I've posted this in the first place. :p

My other Win11 machines all have these two menu selections. For those who've not read the OP, please do so - I would really appreciate it. It would be great if a Windows software experienced user could point me to the registry set that allows menu items to be displayed.

For example, I use pFrank and Diffractor, both of which had no problem installing their menu selection in the context menus. So with the registry set for 'Disabled' on the hide 'Map network drive' and 'Disconnect network drive' after restart I should see them appear again. They do not.

p.s. And yes, I tried un-installing and re-installing pFrank and Diffractor, neither of which made a difference.

So, after months, this problem persists. Can nobody help with this issue? I've done a re-install (keeping apps and settings) of Windows 11 - problem still exists. The Group Policy editor doesn't even have an entry for “Remove Map Network Drive and Disconnect Network Drive” to disable it. Before I do a clean install, can someone/anyone help me fix this issue?

Thanks!

So you do not have that in GP?

It was not there to be found. However, I tried this site (2 Methods to Remove “Map network drive” Context Menu in Windows 11 | Password Recovery), setting the value at '0' instead of '1' to see if it would correct the problem, and it didn't so I deleted the added key, restarted, and now the entry appeared. I then set the value for that key to 'Disabled', restarted, and still no Map Network Drive in the context menu - extremely frustrating. :(
