MS authenticator passkeys support for Outlook personal accounts?

When will MS be planning to include the passkey support on the MS Authenticator app for Outlook consumer accounts?

As documented here, it's currently only supported in Entra ID enrollment for enterprise environments.

Would like to see this implemented for personal accounts as well.

To enable Passkey for your Microsoft Outlook account, you'll first need to create a Passkey for your Microsoft account itself. This involves signing in to your Microsoft account security settings and adding a new sign-in or verification method, such as your device's face, fingerprint, or PIN. Once a Passkey is established, you can use it to sign in to Outlook.

1. Create a Passkey:

• Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to your Microsoft account security page.
  
  
• Add a new sign-in method: Choose "Add a new way to sign in or verify".
  
  
• Select your Passkey method: Choose either Face, fingerprint, PIN, or a security key. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your Passkey on your device, like using Windows Hello or a physical security key.
  
  
• Name your Passkey: You may be prompted to provide a name for your new Passkey.
  

2. Sign in with your Passkey:

• Choose Sign-in options: When signing in, choose "Sign-in options" or "Other ways to sign in".
• Select your Passkey: Choose the appropriate method (Face, fingerprint, PIN, or security key) and then select your saved Passkey from the list.
  

Using Passkeys in Outlook:
Once you have a Passkey for your Microsoft account, you can use it to sign in to Outlook on any device that supports Passkeys and has your Microsoft account signed in. This includes the Outlook web app and the Outlook desktop app (when using your Windows account).

Important Notes:

• Passkeys are stored on your device and are protected by your device's security measures (like Windows Hello or a physical security key).
  
  
• You can manage your Passkeys through your Microsoft account security settings.
