Solved Ms office 2013 download

My Dell laptop underwent software corruption problems. Despite attempting numerous fixes, such as system restore, none worked. Eventually, I was compelled to do a reset, which resulted in the loss of my installed software, including MS Office 2013. Initially, I wasn't too concerned as I had the original activation key and assumed downloading would be quick. Unfortunately, I am now facing an issue where I can't find a download source for MS Office 2013 since it is no longer supported. Can you suggest any solution for me?

I believe there are some Archive sites -- but avoid "pre-activated / cracked" pirated copies. Try the wayback machine site

This site is legal here - AFAIK it still is acessible in most jurisdictions. I've pointed to an Office 2013 link.

Once you've got your iso simply enter your own key after installing the product.

As far as installation, I did not attempt it since I have a newer Office version.

I have installed Office 2013 on my VM.
I'd go for Ghot's since it's a 64bit version.
Whichever install you choose, make sure you hit the updates.
There will be quite a few, including Service packs.

Or, maybe it's just time to Flush the old MS stuff and opt in for something new, compatible, and not flushed with updates.

Either Open Office or Libre Office will fill the bill nicely, and both are FREE and NO License required.

Which edition of Office 2013 did you have? You need to download the right ISO or install program for the edition you have. Your activation key will only work with the edition it is meant for.

Five traditional editions of Office 2013 were released:

Home & Student: This retail suite includes the core applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
Home & Business: This retail suite includes the core applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote plus Outlook.
Standard: This suite, only available through volume licensing channels, includes the core applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote plus Outlook and Publisher.
Professional: This retail suite includes the core applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote plus Outlook, Publisher and Access.

Unfortunately, it will not run on x64. Upgrade to Office 2016 on Windows 11 and Office 2019 on MacOS Catalina.

It must be the installer program. Office 2013 will run in either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.

I had Office 2013 Standard installed on my laptop with a volume license activation key. Some of the links I was given are no longer live and the ones I downloaded was the wrong version (Professional). Although it’s over 10 years old now, I’m still a bit disappointed given that I paid for it with the machine. While Google Docs is an option, it’s not as feature-rich as Office. I have Office 2021 on my PC and find that the older 2013 version still met my needs as well as the fact that I’m just used to using its applications. I also tried contacting Dell hoping for a download but received an automated response that the warranty had lapsed. I'm coming to the conclusion that it's just not available.

That's the best archive out there now and still working. Some of the other links are really dubious and request uou Buy something or accept "Offers" etc before going to the download --

I'd still run an AV scan on it before use, but yes, the Internet Archive Wayback Machine is about the only one I'd trust.

Thanks! Though I did have a look and tried some downloads, I somehow missed this one. I have now downloaded and it seems to work ok. It didn't ask for the product key, so I went to File-Account and found that activation was required. I added the key which was accepted with the green tick, however, it still shows that it needs activation. Presumably this is due to it being a volume licence.

My 'youngest' version of Office is 2007, so I can't really help there. Microsoft documentation on Office activation below is applicable to versions of Office from 2013 onwards, see if this helps.

Is your volume license key for Office 2013 a KMS or MAK key?

Volume license software can be activated with with either a KMS or MAK key. A KMS key is activated by a volume license server maintained by the company that purchased the software. On the other hand a MAK key is activated by the a volume license server maintained by Microsoft.

I could have obtained either a KMS or MAK key for the copy of Office 2013 for our non-profit but it made more sense for me to get MAK key. That way when I installed and activated Office 2013 from my home it could be activated without any problems.

Hi, yes it's KMS which accounts for the activation issue now that you have pointed it out. Do you think that it will be a problem? I mean it seems to be working without activation and the fact that it was originally on this machine from the manufacturer, I wonder if it matters at this time.
