Solved My preferred directory structure.

I just got this new Windows 11 Lenovo computer and I'm not comfortable with the directory structure in the picture below. Below "Folders" are folders, some of which are on OneDrive and others are on the C Drive. I would rather all "Folders" be on my C drive. I'd like to use OneDrive to be a mirror image of selected folders on my C Drive.





Can I change how Windows 11 displays folders? How? And, how do I make OneDrive automatically mirror folders (all files in selected folders) that I create/update on the C drive.

Use symlinks

At one time, the desktop version of Onedrive allowed for selective sync of any folder located anywhere on your computer without the need for symbolic links and such but MS discontinued it. When they did, they lost me as I felt Onedrive to be inferior to Google Drive and Dropbox which does have selective folder sync using one click of the mouse and it works perfectly. Google Drive will even sync to any other cloud storage if so desired so in my opinion Onedrive is lagging behind in what it offers

Now, folders have to be physically located under Onedrive in file explorer for Onedrive to sync the files within the folder....(or you have to go the symbolic link route). You then have to go to Onedrive settings and choose which of the folders will be on your computer's hard drive and which folders will be in the cloud only and downloaded 'on demand' rather than being located on your hard drive. I want to have access to all my files all the time and I want to be able to have them located wherever I want so that concept is too screwed up for me as my internet is sometimes sketchy.

Because my boot drive is small, to save space I relocated my Onedrive folder to a secondary drive.

By now, I'm sure you've figured out I'm not a fan of Onedrive. Here's my few folders in Onedrive and where you change the settings in Onedrive app.
