Need Fan Control Software

I have yet to find software that works with my new build.

1. I start with Fan Control, it found my board's sensors, adding all my fans, calibrated them all, it saw my CPU, but nothing for my video card. I changed the fan names and the saved the config file. I then added a new device trying to see if it would pick up my video card, it errored, and in a second all my fans were gone. I closed the app, opened, still had a empty home page, inport the saved file, which fixed nothing. It's like when my fans disappeared, my 1st config file was overwritten. I uninstalled it, checked all the folders finding it nowhere, checked windows registry, I found nothing left over. After install the second time, it did nothing, found no sensors, added no fans, just home page remained blank. Uninstalled again, emptied all folders, restarted my system. I was really disappointed when I could get this app to seeing my sensors / fans.
What would be nice is one app that allowed me to control my fans, create a curve for profiles and ran my RGB.

2. Installed Argus Monitor, it found nothing, had no Fan Speed or Fan Control tabs, uninstalled it.

3. Installed the latest GPU-Tweak-III which is from Asus, it had no fans showing.

4. iC UE sees my boards sensors, has all the fans, CPU and GPU, but unlike in the older versions I could not see a way to create fan curves, couldn't even see the defaults that used to be built in.

Did you try SignalRGB? They are pretty good about including hardware that is less commonly used. There are so many cards that the software cannot possibly cover everything. Most of the fan control software options will write a driver if there is a large enough base of requests. Find your favorite package and send a request to the author; he just may be able to add support.

For my GIGABYTE desktops, I use the GIGABYTE software for controlling fans and fan speeds. It works superbly.
But I have an ASUS laptop, and their software is crap.

I did a cursory look at your board. Does it have 'Smart Fan' control? I have three fan headers on my board that can be set up to vary speed based on temps of the CPU, PWM etc. I use Afterburner to both control the fans on my EVGA 3080Ti and undervolt the GPU

Why not just use AMD Adrenaline software? For your config, it does everything you need.

Yeah, either use MSI Afterburner (works with 99.99% of GPUs) or AMD Adrenaline software for the GPU and FanControl for the rest.

FanControl alone should work for everything though. Including editing fan curves.

TY you everyone, I clean out all temp, AppData folders etc. and third time was a charm got Fan Control loaded and seeing all my mobo sensors, not just to create some profile curves.

Not to bad mouth SignalRGB, but it will control lighting and that's it, if you want control for anything else you have to buy their Pro, not doing that when there are so many Free options. My Fractal Meshify XL shipped with the front intake fans set to a fixed rainbow color. To change them the first thing I installed was SignalRGB, but when I found out I could not control my fans with the free version I uninstalled it. After I removed it my fans were now left dark (off). the system has been restarted and cold booted many times and the ring LED's on my fans has never come back, tried disconnecting / reconnecting the RGB connector to my mobo, still nothing, I can't get light back.

Only issue you may run into with FanControl is in online games if the anticheat the game uses detects the PawnIO driver as a cheat.
PawnIO runs at kernel level just like the one it replaced (WinRing0) did.

Fractal has software to control their RGB fans. Adjust Pro

Fractal doesn't have software, you have to buy their Adjust Pro Hub, which they stupidly designed with type-C connectors instead of the industry standard of a 3-4 pin regular fan header cable that connects to most hubs and the headers on motherboards.
No software is download and or installed, its run from a web page giving you control over RGB and fans. It's $40 I don't have right now; I had planned on buying next pay period, but I not really happy they went to type-C connectors, it's great for plugging in their front intake fans (type-C), but I'm currently using (4) fan headers on my mobo to control the rest of my fans.

For me what would be perfect for this system would be "one" app that runs both fans and RGB lighting. The problem with so many of these apps is that they work great by themselves, but if you add another app, they can interfere with one another. In my case Fan Control would no longer work correctly because SignalRGB was interfering with it, as soon as I fully uninstalled it, Fan Control found all my board's sensors and all fans, and my graphic card was once again showing. What would make Fan Control the top contender is, if it could also control lighting.

Now I just need to find an RGB only app that won't interfere with Fan Control, so I'm not forced to buy Fractal's Adjust Pro Hub, and I'm not sure it will be able to control the RGB fans on my Rad.

I leave my PC on 24/7, and I gave up on FanControl after a couple years the second time I came back to my PC after a few hours to find all case fans stopped and one or more of them nevertheless emitting a loud whine. Modern BIOSes on Asus motherboards at least have full-fledged fan control anyway, and it's never happened since I uninstalled FanControl and went back to using just the BIOS. That was over two years ago. I never installed the Asus Windows crapware, and I always make sure to turn off their BIOS-level rootkit when I update my BIOS, so it wasn't the cause.

Do what you want with your system, but your are getting off topic here. I'm retired from the IT industry and I've been at this for (40) years.
1. I still need something to control my RGB, my system is in my bedroom, I don't like a system or case that could light up a city block, I prefer to be more subdued with my lighting. With my board's bios settings its all off or all on.

2. Heat is the the #1 enemy of all electronics, overheat resisters, transistors, caps hot enough, and they start to loose their control values, this is what leads to an unstable system, blue screens, system crash, or a PC to flat out shutdown. I have found fan control from the bios to be very unreliable in that they either overreact having you PC sound like a wind tunnel, or they they are too slow and hardware heats up too much before the fans ramp up.
If you want to shorten the life of any electronic device, just let it run hot all the time (above normal temps).
I usually always running monitor software with stats on screen during game play (testing) and I have had temps rise higher than they should be, and the the bios fan control not kicking in and doing the job. I prefer to have control of my system when comes to its longevity and health

I really prefer to have a liquid AIO that has supporting software, on this system with the Arctic III 420 that is not possible as they have no app.
