I see that the RX 7800XT has a 256 bit wide path to its VRAM (the 4070 Super, 192 bits), so that's a plus. Probably more significant than having 16GB of VRAM.

Unless the rules have changed as far as I know 32 GB is the maximum amount of onboard RAM required for a gaming PC. In fact, 16 GB is preferred in most cases for over clocking purposes. It is advisable to use RAM listed on the QVL provided by the system board manufacturer. This can be especially helpful should warranty issues come into question. I recall having to RMA a brand new system board and one of the questions ASUS asked me is whether the RAM I was using was listed on the QVL. I put that baby to bed real quick and I was granted my RMA @ no extra charge.@bobkn

I completely understand but anything that memory intensive in gaming is better off being handled with a quality GPU which, I believe you already have. I meant to comment that that is a very sweet GFX card you have chosen. (But if you haven't purchased it yet you may wish to consider running with the older 6800 XT). Myself, I also recommend AMD GPUs for AMD system boards. I'm not saying other GFX cards won't work on AMD boards but it stands to reason that AMD is going to cater to their own product before it considers compliance with competitors. Anyway, that's my take on it.

but these say XMPO for AMD
