That does look like good RAM if you don't mind the colour. Notice that even that Amazon link states the following:

Precautions: 1. Before purchasing memory products, please refer to the QVL(Qualified Vendor List) compatibility list first of the motherboard. 2. The quality of the CPU memory controller (IMC) and the version from the BIOS of motherboard may both potentially affect the operating frequency of the memory.

So... If you found it on the list you should be safe to roll with it.

I admit that I've never used RAM from Teamgroup. Their prices are lower than some (like Corsair), but that may not mean their quality is lower.

I think I'll exit this thread. Getting to be more like social networking than peer support.

However, this kit (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N) is on the list:

My go to ram is always G.skill. my son was talking about doing a new build and we will wait for the 9800x3d to see how it does, but if we had ro build today, it would be the 7800xcd without question.

The MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi isn't listed.

If the OP feels lucky, RAM for one of the X670E boards listed would almost certainly be fine.

Maybe checking it on the support page for the X670E Gaming Plus WiFi would be a good idea, should he ever figure out how to do that.

I spent a little more time. Here's one: F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N. Amazon.com 6000MHz, 30-38-38-96. Not bad.

i find it interesting that all the RAM on that support page for the X670E consists of SK Hynix chipsets. Anyway, we both posted the link to it so the OP shouldn't have a problem finding it.

The reviews for the MSI say allot of trouble and very slow booting time etc

NOTE: UDIMM just means "unbuffered" DIMM. MY RAM is "unbuffered" too. That's very common.

I can't comment one way or the other regarding ASRock as I have never owned, used, or built a PC with an ASRock system board included in the build. I've heard that they are really bad, low budget boards but I've also heard that ASRock has really improved in the last decade so perhaps they have. The thing about brands is that practically all manufacturers make good components and complete garbage. I used to be a big fan of ASUS until I learned that several of their system boards were over priced disasters and lately, their support hasn't exactly been that great either.

Before you pull the trigger on any system board read the reviews first. NewEgg is excellent for user end reviews. Sometimes Amazon has some good reviews. I would also suggest looking into what GIGABYTE has to offer as they really have made some progress both in the way of quality components and support. The "U" in UDIMM simply means that the RAM is unbuffered, unregistered memory. So unless you're using ECC RAM (server memory) your RAM will likely be UDIMM even if it isn't advertised as such.


May I offer you a bit of advice? I have never been an early adopter of PC components. I wait until most of the bugs are all worked out first before I buy. Bleeding edge tech is for people who have large amounts of disposable income. Now if this is you then enjoy the party. Buy a system board from each company and make comparisons. This is what enthusiasts do. If this does not describe you then I really don't advise purchasing the latest greatest newest hardware being released to the domestic end user. Instead buy at least one generation back and read the reviews before you buy. Even purchasing components that have already been around for a couple of years isn't a bad idea. At least this way you will be somewhat more familiarized with what you're getting and you won't be paying top dollar for brand new components that have only been recently released. The choice is yours of course, but that has been my personal experience over this last quarter century. I wish you the best. :)

As others have posted "UDIMM" just means unbuffered. It's the common sort.

I had to go out of my way to find RDIMM (registered).
