Sorry, I forgot you had to click the drives too lol.

No RAID configurations. Two independent 6tb media drives,
the two independent 1tb ssd's for data.
I don't know why the one 6tb drive is missing, i'll have to swap out those cables too.

Hmmm. Something ain't right. You second disk is not playing nicely, and the two new ones are waiting to be set up.

Follow ZBooks commands, and just copy after each det disk command and paste it into a Notepad window.

Then, come here and paste using the code button above (not inline code) so it looks nice and is scrollable.

I went ahead and selected dynamic disc, and ran the setup from there.
Both Samsung 1tb drives are now showing in ThisPc.
Thanks everyone, this just leaves the missing 6tb drive, hopefully that will show up after I swap out the cables.

Glad you got the new ones working.

For future reference, to copy data in cmd windows / power shell window / terminal window, you drag your mouse across the command starting where you want to start copying and down to where you want to stop, then right click and select copy. If it comes up with a windows that says Paste anyway when you right click, then your window is set to copy on select, so just select, and it should be on the clipboard.

What setup, exactly, did you do? If you just set it up as a RAID disk (which is what all those mirroring striping etc settings were for) you might have removed anything already on that drive.

The dynamic disk is a separate problem.

Disk 2 is now the selected disk.

What setup, exactly, did you do? If you just set it up as a RAID disk (which is what all those mirroring striping etc settings were for) you might have removed anything already on that drive.

I individually mounted each disk, first by selecting dynamic disk, then left clicking and mounting the drive.
Both drives are functioning normally, I just dragged and dropped a file into each of them and it worked correctly.
Neither 6tb drive is showing up in disk management, although one does show up in ThisPc.

It's been ages since I needed to use partition magic. But I do remember it was quite effective, and I'll give this a shot if I can't get the 2nd 6tb drive to show up.

Make sure that you make free or pay backup images:

That Samsung 476gb drive also has Windows 11 on it, hence the partitions.
I do use Aoemi for backups, and once i've got this all sorted out i'll backup both os drives.

You need to specify the exact model number for your motherboard. That is important.

The reason is you have to carefully read through the user manual to see if there any restrictions when you use certain M.2 ports. Some motherboard disable some of the SATA ports when specific M.2 ports are used.

Note Samsung 870 EVOs are 2.5-inch SATA SSDs.
