Solved NordVPN stopped working in this version of Windows 11

Okay! It seems you have to choose to stay on 22000.132 if you want to get anything for the money you payed to NordVPN, or drop NordVPN until they fix it.
That's fubar!!!!

EDIT: On my PC, now updated to 22000.160, NordVPN is working OK. It seems it takes a little longer for NordVPN to connect to f.i. Germany than before, but it does work

I use Ivacy VPN, not NordVPN, and had some intermittent issued when trying to connection. These issues settled down with 22000.132 but started again with 22000.160, just not as bad.
Running iTunes without the VPN enabled works fine but it occasionally crashed with the VPN turned on. This never happened before, so something changed in 22000.160.

Haha, I have already updated to 22000.160, it's too much of work to roll-back, a fresh-install may work, but installing those myriad apps is a hassle !
NordVPN does work in this setup, but only through Open VPN protocol. In any case, I am dual-booting with Win 10, where it works.
I wish NordVPn gives us the wireguard.conf files, like Windscribe does ! Wireguard program works well in this setup.
BTW, have you checked the Device Manager, are there no flags ?

I also had the same issue and for me all I needed to do was uninstall ALL items in the Network part of Device Manager (except wifi, LAN and bluetooth) then press the scan button to reinstall

I will try this when I update next time ! "ALL items" , did it include the Nord-TAP adapter and Nordlynx too ?

Hi

Yes - uninstall these too and then when you scan for new hardware it will reinstall them.

I had the 'not working on 11' problem and contacted them and this is the reply:

Hello, Ben,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Make note that Windows 11 is still on the Insider preview (beta) version.

Windows Insider is an open software testing program by Microsoft that allows users to use pre-release builds of the operating system.

Unfortunately, NordVPN is designed to be used with official public (stable) operating system builds only, therefore, we can not guarantee that all of NordVPN's features will work on pre-released builds.

However, we can assure you that the NordVPN application will be prepared to work at 100% of its capabilities with the official release of Windows 11.

Having all of this in mind, we would recommend testing different VPN connection protocols and check if you are able to use any one of them.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Let us know how it goes.

No, it didn't work for me !
Got really tired of these antics, so went back to Win 10 😁 ( Not that Win10 is perfect, there also this happens once we update to a new build, the reddit and other forums are full of this bug !)
I will fresh-install windows 11 once it becomes RTM and my CPU eleigible for it, till then I will just peruse the forum,
Thanks and regards

This happens in Win10 too, if you upgrade to a newer build, I had to use system-restore to an earlier point for it to work.
Probably, it works only on a stable windows installation, not an Insider Build, I suppose !

Hi folks
seems to be working for me as well on build .168 although logging on to Albanian server doesn't work !!! not that I need to use that country's servers !!!! USA logon works perfectly -- also Netflix and Amazon Prime now give US preferences and options when connected. Before I used to get some odd messages "We've detected a VPN is being used - please disconnect VPN and retry logon"". That doesn't happen any more.

Cheers

NordVPN have updated their Windows software to version 6.39.3.0 which is available on their website download link.

I didn't get an automatic update so had to uninstall the previous version (6.38.15.0 ) then installed version 6.39.3.0. NordLynx is now working correctly.

UGH! I just went back to Win 10 because of this NordLynx issue.
Can you confirm it's still working perfectly?
Are your connect times about a second?
And what build of Win 11 are you on?

I am also on windows 11 version 22000.168 and this version has an updated driver on the NordLynx Tunnel - version 0.11.0.0 (the pervious non working/unreliable one was 0.8.0.0 I think).
Working OK after a number of reboots, quick connection and good speed.
I just installed this new nordvpn setup exe version over the top of the previous version (did not appear to need to uninstall the old one).
The real test will be when the next Windows 11 CU comes out and gets applied as this is what I think killed my previous Lynx working adpater.

Just done the CU upgrade for Windows 11 to 22000.176 and the NordLynx tunnel is still working
with the latest installed 6.39.3 version of the nordvpn setup, so I guess this is the nordvpn Windows 11 fixed version of the product.
