Not your normal BSOD post

I concluded that this problem mostly arises due to the user installing something incompatible.
To be fair, it's usually because software becomes incompatible after an update which can happen years after the installation of said software.

There were 5 unexpected shutdowns and restarts during the past 20 days.
One was the the BSOD with bugcheck EF.

Had you powered off for any hangs and freezes?

Dell does not support Windows 11 on the computer:

There were multiple event viewer entries related to the disk drive including corruption of the Master File Table (MFT)

Please test the drives:

Code:
------------------------
Disk & DVD/CD-ROM Drives

      Drive: C:
 Free Space: 77.7 GB
Total Space: 113.8 GB

      Drive: D:
 Free Space: 72.8 GB
Total Space: 113.9 GB

1) Please make a new restore point:

2) Please run:

a) HD Tune: (free or trial version)
Post images for results on these tabs:
a) Health
b) Benchmark
c) Full error scan

b) Sea Tools for Windows:
long generic test

c) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

chkdsk /r /v W:

Change the letter W: to the applicable drive.

Test all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D: or chkdsk /r /v E: etc.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Type: Y

3) These tests can be performed overnight:
a) HD Tune full error scan
b) Sea Tools for Windows long generic test
c) Chkdsk /r /v C:

Thanks.
I will run it later.

It looks like if this isn't going to support Win11. Clean installing Win10 if have time.

The chkdsk displayed cleaning on each drive.
There was no corruption reported using the /r switch.

The disk tests were all ok.

There were multiple dump files (one memory dump, one live kernel dump, and multiple mini dump files).

The live kernel dump displayed a misbehaving GPU driver.

The Intel GPU driver: IGFX, Igdkmd.sys is from 2016.

Please uninstall and reinstall this driver.

Then download and install: Intel Driver and Support Assistant

Run the software to see if it finds a newer driver.

Thanks. I will do it later.

I remembered that is the driver that crashed during the 128 partitions DiskParInfo test.

After replacing the Intel GPU driver you can either:

a) wait to see if there are any recurrent BSOD

b) run Windows Driver Verifier (WDV)

Is it just me or does 11 seem to have less crashes than 10? I haven't had one in 10 or 11 in years, knock on wood, but does 11 behave a little better? Less user base yet making it seem less?

If this should be somewhere else, feel free to move.
I'm happy for you. ;)
:)
And you should be too. Who wants BSODs?

Often live kernel events can be ignored.

If they cause hangs and freezes they can be troubleshooted.

Thanks. I have a 2 Windows PE ISOs, 1 Windows 10 Install ISO, and 1 Windows 11 Install ISO when everything goes wrong with WDV.
The Windows PE ISOs can connect to the internet, and one of the ISO has tools when I have to restore the restore point.

Code:
D:\ISO> Directory PE

Directory of D:\ISO\PE

Win10xPE_x64.iso
BOOTPE.ISO

P.S.
Some of the hardware specified is not connected, because a rat cutting the USB cables of some of the USB hardware. I will replacing some of it, and some I will replace the USB cable.

P.S. 2
One of my USB drives looks like it's failing, slow speeds, diskpart takes too long to open when it's connected, when I do anything to it, Disk management is not responding.
