Not your normal BSOD post

The only time I had BSODs were actual hardware faults (CPU failure, RAM failure), both 10 and 11 have been stable. I've not had a kernel crash BSOD for years

Question.
I code and test batch files/PowerShell scripts, with a YouTube video playing in a background. Can this be run with a intensive task? For me it's chrome with a 10 tabs running.

Once you get accustomed to using the tool you'll be best at gauging the impact of the different customized tests.
When using the tool you must expect to be interrupted by a BSOD.
So whatever was open could be lost unless it reloads after recovering from using the tool.

Thanks.

The tabs on Chrome is no way to be lost, and I have "Autosave Plugin for Notepad++" installed on my text editor.

Please post a verifier /querysettings

Indicate the progress and how many customized tests you've used and how many simultaneously.

Running in the next 3 hours...

I managed to not stress the CPU by setting the resolution of the YouTube video to 480p, and limiting my Chrome tabs to 3 (with YouTube running), and 5 (without YouTube running)

Make a new restore point.
See if you can run multiple customized tests simultaneously.

For example:

Code:
    [ ] 0x00020000 DDI compliance checking
    [ ] 0x00080000 DDI compliance checking (additional).

I applied it and restarted, and you guessed it, BSOD!

I will provide V2 logs as soon as I can.

I can't go to Advanced boot options, because my Windows Install is configured to ignore keystrokes while booting, but I managed to boot from a Windows 11 install media, and restored before WDV.

Because this is going far, and I don't notice this is a problem before, I will create a new thread regarding my BSOD.
Because again I'm not the OP.

I would say the introduction of WDF has made a significant difference. Most of the trickier areas of driver development are handled by the framework. A good analogy is the introduction of the .NET framework, it has significantly reduced the number of application errors, since there is much more hand holding for the developer. How many developers actually think about when they should free a heap allocation these days?
