I grabbed that version when it came out. So.. I'm all set to go BIOS wise. Now I just want to get the H60 cooler next month and I can get the CPU in Jan. Yes.. JAN! :geek:

LOL.. I can't wait to get it in Jan... I've basically only used a 4 core my entire life so this is going to be fun,, for me at least. The cats and Erin will be indifferent.

Jeff Keep your eyes on the processor prices between now and when you get your money, it could be that demand may drop after the holiday period. If this happens you could save yourself some cash, or maybe go for a processor higher up the available option list

If you want to stay with the Ryzen 3xxx series CPU. I would get the 3700x. Since there isn't much performance gains getting a 3800x. For a 5xxx series I would get the 5800x CPU.

Nigel, prices usually go up after the holidays. From my experience. Never buy between Jan and April (Easter). Highest prices, regardless of the demand

Depending on how Intel's new alder lake CPU's perform and priced. AMD may have to drop prices as well. Hold off till Black Friday. Could be some good deals on CPU's as well.

Here in the UK prices reach a peak in December then they drop off - basically because people do not have much money left after the holiday spending

2022 may be different from 2020 and before. I admit that AMD prices aren't bad right now; it's even possible to buy CPUs from retailers, at prices not far above original MSRPs, rather than from resellers (scalpers). Graphics cards are another issue: availability seems to be better, but that may because high prices have affected demand.

Checked for a couple of CPUs, and 2021 certainly hasn't been an ordinary year... Prices are all over the place, most of them dropped in feb, and started to rise again late summer
