What's wrong with Outlook -- what do you guys actually WANT an email app to do
-- surely all you need is to be able to send a message to a user / a group of users with a text line, attach "officy" type documents e.g spread sheets, text docs inc word etc, power point docs etc, plus be able to format your mails , order them as you require, archive mail if you want to and have as many mail folders as you need for subdividing topics, and preferably allow several accounts for both sending and receiving mail.
Pretty well all the email clients I've seen have these in pretty much the same sort of format -- so what's all the gripe with Outlook. -- It works, has been around way back since Windows 3.0 / Windows 3.11 for workgroups and generally is 100% reliable if you have Office.
Thunderbird isn't so different if you don't have office (and is Free too).Although setting up can be a pain.
And BTW if you DO have Office 2021 LTSC - nothing to force you at install time to install OUTLOOK either although I can't understand what you mean by "Real estate" on your PC. I don't care for email on phones -- the last thing if I'm not at a computer is want to even THINK about emails - far less read or respond to them. I prefer Office 2021 to the later versions as it still has publisher on it which is IMHO still an OK app for what it was intended to do -- although with things like Wordpress etc there are other options - that's purely a users preference.
