My lapto keyboard started playing up with keypresses being repeateddddddddddddddddddd like this automatically.
I reinstated drives, made sure sticky keys were off, did registry edits on repeat and delays, blew air on keys to make sure not stuck etc.
Then it sort of worked for a few minutes so I started writing a messageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and there it was back!
At this point, I irrationally thumped the laptop keyboard hard a couple of times in exasperation, thinking I would have to replace the keyboard.
Lo and behold the keyboard now works fine at least for several hours.
Of course, any old school TV engineer knew that percussive maintenance (a good thump) works LOL.
