Click on the Google Drive button in the composition window I posted about and go to Upload.
If you have a Gmail account, you've got 15GB of Drive, free.
It may be the only way to get the attachments to your recipient.

As for Malwarebytes.....I stopped using that POS a long time ago. It caused more false positives and problems than it was worth.
I have several programs that it would flag as BAD and want to either delete or quarantine. And it would not let me tell it to "Leave those alone!"
And it would ignore things like Tracking Cookies that were actually BAD for my PC.
Super Anti Spyware gets rid of the Tracking Cookies and the occasional Trojan. And the FREE version works great, only without automatic updates and scans. I may be OLD but still able to do those things myself. lol

As mentioned, I didn't know that but I checked it out and even have a video of m mine up there. No idea how it got there.

Once again, I tried to send the files to Malwarebyes that they requested. I suppose many will find it hard to believe that a zip file, a bat file, and a zipped bat file were all stopped by Gmail. I tested these files in Gmail because my ISP, for my main email account, does not tell me if they were blocked or not, but Gmail does. Yes, I tried sending the bat file that reads like this:

Gmail blocked it. I zipped it. Its name was Bat Files.zip. Gmail blocked it.

I sent Malwarebytes messages without any files attached so, hopefully, they would receive them. I sent them the bat file as text as listed above with links to the 2 programs I used - Bat To Exe Converter and Advanced Bat To Exe Convewrter v4.5. I explained in detail how they could replicate every step I followed, including how to create a bat file, in case they didn't know. They must not have liked that because they finally sent me a link that was a direct upload to them, bypassing my email. They said they needed the exact files I had trouble with but apparently didn't want to create them on their own. The link said the files were successfully uploaded. So I sure hope they were.

I believe in all the time it has taken so far, they thought I would give up. I am not sure why they didn't send me that upload link to begin with and cut 2 weeks out of this ticket. Needless to say, I am a little disappointed with their support at the moment.

Finally, just today Nov. 28, 2022, I heard from Malwarebytes and they have fixed the problem of Malwarebytes blocking and then deleting the exe files created by both Bat To Exe Converter and Advanced Bat To Exe Converter v4.5. As some of you suspected, it was false positives that were being issued. You have to force a new version of Malwarebytes to install but then it seems to work just fine.

Reading the above methods seems a little overcomplicated, I think. So I made a YouTube video to show how I am doing it. It is fairly quick when you have done it a few times.
It is of course stupid that we have to do complicated stuff like this with our own programs on our own computer (or is it actually Microsoft's?)

I'm sure the video above is very informative but it was more or less lost on me without audio actually explaining what was happening. I'm sure that is my fault but I just didn't get what the file was supposed to do. Sorry.

I don't think it was so much about what the file was supposed to do..., it was more about how to pin the file, any file, to the Taskbar.

This makes it so make easier. No programs or anything. Just renaming a few times. Thanks so much. I needed something for the start menu and this works great.

Agreed...

MS loves REMOVING features for no reason. They decided people couldn't use their Taskbar as they see fit; removing the Toolbars for example is when I realized I'll be sticking with my W10 until I fully transition over to Linux as my Host OS. I'm still playing with a few different versions.

created an account to post an answer to this....

- create a shortcut to the bat file (either right click > Show More Options > Create Shortcut, or right click and drag > Create Shortcut Here)
- open shortcut properties (right click -> Properties)
- in Target, wrap what's there in double-quotes (C:\mybatfile.bat --> "C:\mybatfile.bat")
- add this to the beginning of Target --> C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C (space at the end between this command and the now-quoted original Target)

Target should now look like this:

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C "C:\mybatfile.bat"

Click OK and you can now just drag that shortcut to the taskbar!
