Pinning A Batch File To Windows 11 Taskbar

Thought I would step in here. I have been a user of the battoee app for a few years. I also use MB Pro. MB does block those apps by default as you noticed. If you have MB Pro you can create an exception and the battoexe apps and their associated apps will work fine. I contacted the creator/owner of the battoexe app and he is aware of the conflicts. My experience is his apps are safe.

Thank you for that information, it's good to know. I suspected as much but didn't take he chance. I have a list of other exceptions in MB Premium so will just have to figure out how to word this one. Its properties says, "C:\Program Files\Bat To Exe Converter\Bat_To_Exe_Converter.exe" So maybe that is what I can use. In the past, my exclusions have been all websites so allowing a program is new to me. But I'll give it a try.

Apparently I do not know how and haven't been able to allow Bat To Exe Converter to run. I tried its path inside the Programs folder and also just it name, which also somehow selects its entire path. I recreated the exe file and I restored the exe file and MB still blocks and quarantines it. So I am not getting it to run. MB did not give me the option at any time to run the file anyway.

It has been a while since I installed this app. I just checked and noticed I do not have an "exception or allowed threat" for this in MB. I do have it's folders set as an exclusion in MS Anti-Virus "Exclusions". In my case, I do not have MB registered with Defender. I do not know if that would cause a separate issue. When I initially installed the app MB did object. I spoke with Brandon Dargo at the time. He was aware both Defender and MB and try to block it. It is possible I only created the eception in MS Defender AV and just told MB to ignore the threat. Don't remember exactly, but I do still have exclusions in MS AV. Your call of course. There may be some additional current information on his web site.

I received his email address when I first purchased the application. Acdtually I do not know if you can contact him if using the free version. I do know that he replies to emails rapidly.

Thanks again for your help. I just used a tool MB sent me to upload the log files connected with the ticket I created the other day. They are to review them and get back to me as far as what to do next is concerned. Hopefully, the will have a solution. I just don't understand why allowing the program itself on MB's Allow tab didn't work. BTW, I am using the Free version of that program. I just don't see me having to use a program like that often enough to justify purchasing it.

Thank you. I agree it has features not necessarily needed or readily taken advantage of. I used the free for a couple of years and kept checking on the updates. One of the reasons I purchased it was just to see if all of the features worked, and they have worked with Win 10 and Win11 so far.

I have not heard back from Malwarebytes yet after uploading the log files to them. Maybe they will say it has something to do with using the free version. I doubt it though since I tried using 2 separate compiling programs. Not sure compiling is a correct term anymore but, if I remember correctly, that is what similar programs did in the DOS environment.

Just wondering. HAve you tried completly disabling MB and then check?

No I didn't because if it is actually stopping a Trojan virus, as it says it is, I don't want to have that on my machine.

As mentioned previously, Malwarebytes stops and deletes the exe files I created using both Bat To Exe Converter and Advanced Bat To Exe Converter. I do have a support ticket open with Malwarebytes and they have requested I send them a zip file containing the exe files that Malwarebytes is blocking. I have sent it to them no less than 4 times using my Outlook and email account. They keep saying that they haven't heard from me lately and want to close the case. The attached file is a screenshot of the zip files that I can easily attach using Outlook but since they say they aren't getting my emails, I tried sending the same zip files using my Gmail account. It will not attach the Bat Files.zip you can see in the attachment. Any idea why Gmail will not allow me to attach this Bat Files.zip folder?

Cuz they're .exe's, Gmail won't send em!
Change the extension to .txt, or sumthin, then send them..., tell your recipient to change em back.

Just tried and, I guess, because they are zip files or at least inside a zip folder, I cannot change the name. I don't get the option to do that. I think I'll try to recreate them, change the name, and send them without making zip files out of them. Thanks for your help.

Well that did not work. I changed the exe and Gmail still blocked it. I made individual zip files and Gmail blocked it. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Thank you but I didn't see a way to attach them. I don't have a google drive and don't store anything in the cloud, if that is a requirement.

Thank you but malwarebytes has deleted those files once again and I am going to wait to see if Malwarebytes replies to me on an email I didn't attach anything to. I am not at all sure they are seeing any of my replies.

If you have Gmail you have Google Drive. It has a respectable 15 GB for free.
