MS is trying to subtly convince us that we need two things to have a happy Windows experience.
1. A subscription Windows.
2. Windows as a Service.

Personally, I think this is why Win 11 is so... sloppy and unfinished.
It's an advertisement for the two things mentioned above.

OK! I'll dump all my needed stuff to a secondary drive and blow this SSD off. Lets see if I have anymore issues. BUT! Although I have not had an issue since deleting those updates. I still think it was the update that caused the issue. I think I'll leave the drive as is and test this theory. Lets see if its the SSD or the updates.

Personally, I'm inclined to agree with you because... Windows 11. Still, there's no good reason to keep all that AMD stuff humming in the background on an Intel platform. For all we know it could be causing other issues or might cause future problems. Often a perceived issue is a combination of factors, one thing leading to another. I noticed the last few Win 11 updates have been pretty shaky on my PCs as well. No BSODs yet, but it's been touch and go with some of the recent Installations.

BTW I like your signature. Reminds me of the area where I live. Of course, right now it's all snow.

I'm trying to wrap my head around you referencing "AMD stuff humming in the background" Yes the SSD holds my old OS but is sitting dormant as in not running. There are no AMD driver running from that drive so I can't see how it could at all affect my new install on my M.2? O and Thank you for the like on my SIG. I created it in photoshop. I actually created 7 or 8 SIG's but this is the one I like the most.

Well, I have this old saying... Stuff happens. SMART, Windows Boot Manager, Secure Boot etc. "looks" at stuff on all your drives before you can even access your OS, for example. If the criteria that supports the logistics that flag problems and issues are present the system will respond accordingly. Data gets copied, transferred, duplicated in many different ways. i.e. File History, System Restore, backups etc. In addition to this there are third party programs that can generate issues, false alarms, and non-conflicts, such as virus scanners and malware protection. Keeping it clean can't hurt. Call it preventative maintenance, or call it what you will. Or, you can just settle for Murphy's law: Something that can go wrong will generally go wrong. Not going to dictate what you should do with your PC. It's only advice. (Based on experience, of course) Sorry.

OK! I love the Sorry at the end... That is are Canadian signature. I would like to keep one aspect of the drive. My Lance1 profile. So I went and deleted all the other remnants of the OS. Now all is left is my Profile which has everything I want. AMD Is non existent. So now I'm thinking is to move my profile to a remote drive and clean the SSD then move my profile back to the SSD leaving the SSD contamination free. OMG this is overkill... The length we go through to get rid of a ghost.

I hear you. This is what I mean when I said, "What makes you think you can just sit back and relax?" lol No pain, no gain. Just do one thing per day. Now that you have it all cleaned up you can run a backup before you rest your head. May as well make some restore points along the way while you're at it.

#1 thing is having a fully functional duplicate of your working OS to put away for a rainy day. The rest you can always get later.

So I found this desk on Facebook marketplace for $30.00. I have my scanner and printer to set up yet but it looks pretty. See the mat? That's the size of my old desk. Thought I would share cause it runs with my new build.

You've used a lot of similar brands to me on my most recent build, except I went with NVIDIA GeForce for graphics.

Love those old tables. I have an old, solid oak desk heavier than Stalin's coffin, I'm sure, that I simply refuse to give up. The top slab must be 2" thick. I managed to snag it back in the 70's for 20 bux. Puts these particle board abominations to shame.

Neat and Practical yes... But I'm no different from you. In time it will be clustered. The wife will have to grab me by the ear and drag me to my office and make me clean it up. That's what 46 years of marriage does to you. But I'll give it the old college try and keep it neat and clean. "No Guarantees"
