Something minor that I've noticed.

If you have a keyboard with Play/Pause/Stop buttons and use them during an audio or (YouTube) video play in the background, usually info pops pup in the top left corner showing what is played/paused/stopped with an picture preview of the video/audio. However, this is gone ever since I clean installed Windows 11.

The weird part is that the volume bar (although Windows 10 themed) does appear when pressing the keyboard volume buttons.

Anyone else having this?

Is this only for the Insider Builds? I take it you're talking about these appearing when pressing the mentioned buttons on your keyboard?

For me, yes..., it changes from Build to Build!

Actually no! Only the volume shows when keyboard controls are used..., the new OSD, you gotta dig it out of the system tray manually! Which is useless and stupid..., and, apparently, only if your system tray is working!!! :p

Ah, that probably explains why the OSD is not showing up in my case. They have removed it in the Windows 11 stable build and have not implementend it in the systray yet.

Also, oh Microsoft..
No idea why it's hidden it like that and not make it appear automatically when using the keyboard controls

Btw, what does OSD stand for?

It was way more useful when it was like this:

All my audio controls are on my mouse...
... now you gotta dig it out of the Sys Tray manually just to interact with it! What's the point of having it then!?!?!? 🤷‍♂️

Never mind, I just noticed I do have the OSD in the systray menu. For some reason though I still have the Windows 10 themed volume bar

This is what many windows 10 users were complain about. Just go search the internet and you will find out there are tons of people hate about this stupid OSD(On Screen Display). It take too much of the screen space and it stays minimal of 5 secs. I am so glad Microsoft finally listen to many users's complain and get rid of this OSD in windows 11. I might upgrade to windows 11 just because of getting rid of this stupid OSD. It blocks the screen view space and you can't get rid of it in windows 10. I am a very active stock trader and this OSD is very annoying. Microsoft should have made it configurable so it will not showing OSD. I am a computer expert and I know more people hate it than like it.
