Another situation is that if you login to Windows 10 with a Microsoft ID at least once, and link the install to this ID the old rules no longer apply, you can transfer the OS to completely new hardware whatever group, [OEM,Retail, ETC ]it originally

Windows 11 installed easily on my Test Rig (ASUS Z170M-E D3) in Windows 10 x64 Hyper-V. I just had to enable the Hyper-V TPM & Disable the Secure Boot to get the .ISO to install.
On the same rig that I use for my MS Insider testing I just updated the last Windows 10 (21387) I had installed using the same .ISO (WZOR link) w/ a switched out appraiserres.dll file from a Windows 10 DVD. It installed on that partition & I have no problem getting any updates (last one was 22000.71).
