I had problems getting Quicken 2017 to work so I went to my old Windows 10 backup to C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\Quicken and copied all the folders from there to a USB jimp drive, then replaced the same folders in Windows 11. Started up Quicken and it worked like a charm forever more.

This trick works for many other programs. For example copy any Mozilla or similar folder from ProgramData, Program Files and user AppData folders into the respective folders if a new installation. Then download and install Firefox. It will detect old data and offer to "upgrade" Firefox. Do it and you get back your theme, extensions, bookmarks, passwords and even browsing history. Like nothing changed from your old system! I have done this successfully with Google Chrome as well.

Well, after fixing Quicken install in Windows 11 I had to do a Window 10 reset on my older laptop, so now Quicken will not run. I give. They will not get another penny from me. No real indications to why, it just loads and the screen never advances to the program.

Maybe since it was activated in Windows 11 is was deactivated in Windows 10. Adobe Acrobat Pro has similar behaviour if not activated properly.

Not sure that is it. I think it has to with the display settings like before with Windows 11. But, I forgot where that info is. Will remember someday. The only thing wrong is the program windows will not display.

Look for the shorcut or the quicken.exe itself
Right click property.
Select Compability.
Run the compability troubleshooter or click on the check mark box to choose which OS it ran last.

I used Quicken until Windows Vista convinced me to switch to Mandrake Linux. Quicken didn't have a Linux version so I started using Moneydance. It runs on several OSs. I also like that you only need to pay for it one time except for major updates. Here'a a link to Moneydance if anyone want to check and see if it does what they need. I doubt is a compatibility issue, but while you are in Compatibility tab check to Run as Administrator box as well. I would do that for all users.

Quicken will noy run as Administrator. I had the same problem with Windows 11 setup and found the answer to be something with the display setting. Getting old and forgetful, so will let it rest so my nimble brain remembers it.

It might be the DPI scaling settings. These can be overridden in Compatibility tab as well. You can set it independently of the global scaling setting. If no scaling works try setting it at 100%

Well, I woke up my nimble brain and figured out why my Quicken 2017 would not work in my older laptop after resetting Windows 10. Too many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak. So, long story cut short;
I removed \Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Quicken and \Roaming\Quicken (how they got there is a mystery), then copied my old-old backup drive:
\ProgramData\Intuit, ProgramData\Quicken, \Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Intuit and \Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Intuit.
Rebooted and Quicken came up like always. Why such things occur is beyond me and it is too much to try and explain.
