there seem to be a few forum members who are having issues with DISM
i have been trying to find an answer that will repair the Windows systems DISM
there isnt much out there on the actual repair of DISM itself
but i did find this, link below.

which indicates that a full CHKDSK will not only help in repairing any disk/drive
it will also check and repair the file system that DISM relies on.
so it maybe worth while, for those having issues with DISM
to do a full CHKDSK using @Brink tutorial then try DISM to see if it is repaired
