Thanks. I was ready to do that, but first I tried Apps > Installed apps, and "Reset" and "Repair"ed ithe Store and it started working again.

But, won't that turn off all updates including Driver Updates, Definition Updates, Quality Updates, etc?

Oh, wait. I just opened Windows Updates and:

...if I just leave that there, will that prevent future attempts to install 24H2? Will it inhibit/prevent other updates?

set your targetversion via the link i posted before. then it will not update past 23h2 build but will continue to pull updates available for 23h2

You can install updates of your choice from this app. Scan for updates whenever handy and install what you want.

I did but 24H2 wrecked so many things with BSODs @ startup that restore was entirely unusable. System repair with a bootdisc failed.
Cannot figure out for the life of me how the people that OK'd this "latest version change" can justify taking a salary cheque?


Interested to know what other people did to "recover" as I could not rollback from any point after the installer ran itself.
