Solved Shopping Laptops w/win11, what's popular?

Before you take that step, may I suggest you use it a while longer. I have not found most of the changes in 11 to be offputting and the ones that really bothered me the most, there are ways to overcome. For me, 11 overall is a really good OS. The tutorial section of this forum has the answers for most anything one does not like. Use the search function of the tutorial index page to find what you want or browse the tutorial section in general.
Hi @glasskuter :) I wanted to apologize if I sounded stubborn about changing my laptop to Win 10 instead of Win 11 that came on it. I sounded stubborn it's because I was being so

I am liking, loving my new laptop with Windows 11 now that I did give it a chance, and so glad you and others spoke up. Everything is falling into place and I just wanted to thank, Denise (y)
:)

We're happy to help. The longer you use it, you will like it even more. Let me give you one piece of advice. Do not keep your laptop in a case unless you have completely shut it down. All new laptops these days come with a feature called modern sleep which is different from the sleep we have always been accustomed to. Some people who keep their laptops in cases have reported overheating because of this feature.

Instead of starting a new thread, I'd like to as if there's a safe way to install Google Play so I can play some of my Android games on my laptop? I just finished reading info here on eleven forums about the malware etc. when people tried adding Google Play. Has anyone discovered a safe way to do this? There's directions/articles all over the net but I don't trust them after reading the article here. Thanks in advance, Denise PS I just found this article and wondering if it's reliable to use

That's a good compromise between specs and price. As long as you don't go below i5 and 16GB RAM, it should be able to do what you expect it to do. But you should have gotten the 1TB drive. Unless you are okay attaching external drives for your files. Don't store videos on your laptop if you don't want to run out of storage space fast.

I didn't see one like this with 1 TB plus the fact I won't be storing that much on this laptop. Thank you for the heads up though, good info

You can probably upgrade it later to 1TB. Should be fine for now.

All new laptops these days come with a feature called modern sleep which is different from the sleep we have always been accustomed to. Some people who keep their laptops in cases have reported overheating because of this feature.
My laptop overheated one night, and it was just sitting on the table with the lid closed. It was so hot that it wouldn't boot until it cooled down. Since the overheating the laptop started running on the hot side and not preforming like it use too. I did a reg hack for the power plan and it did help bring the temps down. I have a tube of thermal paste and two new cooling fans that I'm going to try next.
