Show off your internet speed!

Home user's were limited to 100/10 forever up here. We recently got 1gbit/50 so I went with the free upgrade for my tier. I remember the 40down days of college. Never again.

Paying about £32 with BT for full fiber.

My upload speeds have deteriorated ever since my modem's firmware update...
I would sometimes get close to 30 Mbps.

I hate this bl00dy topic !!! Here in Australia, short sighted politicians think an infrastructure of 2 jam tins joined by a piece of string is advanced telecommunications. If anyone wants fibre optic, they have to pay for it ... but what's the point when most of the inground system is still copper wire!!!

My ISP (one of the top rated) highest speed is 90Mbps .. there's no point in anything greater, the system still won't handle it.

And you lot still keep taunting me with these (comparatively) astronomic speeds.

Cruel.

EDIT So much for the country that "invented" wifi !!! Where has that got us today ....

Axia at $99 CAD/month ... we will see what happens when Telus takes over!

have you looked at installing custom firmware on it? or just swapping it for a decent router?
(RT-AC68U - can't go wrong, has support for FreshTomato and Asuswrt Merlin, amtm, diversion adblocker, etc, also very cheap router - but still very good.)

actually no. We are paying total tax, title and license fees 86 a month for 1GB speeds with Spectrum Internet

Suppose to be 1 GB up and down. But never hit it on the download side of things

I pay $94.99 for internet only, 400mbps down/10mbps up

Comcast Extreme Pro rated for 900mb download, 20 upload
with over provisioning hit the following

*WIth Desktop with USB 2.5gig Ethernet Adapter, i'm able to get the full overprovisioned speed provided by Comcast*

Rest of Household machines hit between 500-600 on wireless depending on conditions, and 1gig wired, as only have one 2.5gig port on Arris XB7 Gateway modem

Please 'splain to me how I get this result on a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) LAN?
