There are no settings set in there. I guess it has to be set up. No mention of auto upload.

What's Application Settings -> Upload? It looks like an upload priority order.

Yeah, you gotta set that stuff up.
Honestly, I've never dug too deep into Upload settings as I've never used it.
I guess it depends on how you're accustomed to sharing/linking your stuff...,
and, most sites, like this one support drag n drop.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, I'll put it on my bucket list.

That's alright. I'm not really looking for uploading and sharing functionality. ShareX seems to be big on those features, hence the name, I guess.

Annotation functionality is probably what I'm looking for, as Snipping Tool is lacking in that area.

I had a look around, hard to find something recent. It possibly requires writing short php scripts which include user/pass/host etc.
Most of the videos I found dated 5 years and back. There is one for a custom domain also (your domain) But 5 years is a long time. Perhaps it’s all easier now.

Take some time and fool around with it..., try all kinds of things!
There's not much feature documentation out there!

e.g. I probably mentioned it before, but, when drawing a Rectangle or Ellipse, if you hold Shift it'll make a perfect square or circle..., stuff you just stumble upon!

I've been testing FastStone Capture. It's a very light image and video capture utility that has much more functionality than I expected. I won't go into a lot of detail, but instead let the screenshots do most of the talking.

Of course, the first thing you'll notice is the toolbar. The default size is very small, but it can be enlarged in the FastStone Capture settings -> Toolbar tab. You can also add more buttons to the toolbar in those settings. Incidentally, the toolbar is not where most of the functionality resides.

A lot more functions can be accessed via the tray icon context menu.

The default output setting is the FastStone Capture Editor, but that can be changed via the tray icon context menu depicted above or by the FastStone Capture toolbar Output button. There are several different options to choose from.

As stated above, you can change the output, put there is also a "FastStone Capture Draw" button in FastStone Capture Editor where it takes you to FastStone Capture Draw where you can easily add annotations.

I've enabled a minimized auto start, so when Windows starts, the tray icon is always available.

FastStone Capture is a very functional screen capture application that supports images and videos while being very light on resources.

Actually, you can capture a shot of "disappearing" drop-down menus. Just press the Print Screen button, the menu stays put, and once you capture what you want, it's saved to the clip board for putting the shot where you want.

Hi,
Yep shareX is pretty good I don't use it much at all though
I use win-7 apps, snipping tool/ paint/ notes for the basic functions.

ShareX is not so great at recording though because it has no pause/ resume feature, unless @Edwin found it hehe
This is where obs studio kicks it's but.

Been a happy user of FastStone Capture for probably 10-15yrs. Very light on system, lots of functionality, regular updates and excellent licensing terms. I've been running on family license.
