I agree. Others might say XP was the best/finished OS. However, as W10 went through the normal growing pains over the first 18 months it started to shine nicely IMHO. I find W10 has quick access to everything without having to move my hand to the keyboard to fine it using "search". All features in Settings and the Control panel are easily accessible with mouse-clicks. I can type like a bat-out-of-hell but once my hand is on the mouse and I am moving along speedily I don't need the keyboard.

There was nothing about XP that was plug and play, it took me an hour recently just to get my XP machine to work with my modem. I agree, 10 did get better in the end, that’s probably why they went to 11, let’s not have something that works well.

I want to share that I installed Windows 11 from scratch on second HDD and most of the bugs solved so upgrade from 10 to 11 has many problems , at least for my setup (AMD)

I have all AMD and have had zero problems with Windows 11.

The only bug I have encountered is on the start menu when you click "all apps", it often requires two or more clicks to change to the apps listing. The same for the power options. I would consider this pretty good for a brand new OS.

I have no performance problems with my Ryzen 3700x system with 3 NVMe and 2 SATA SSDs + one 2TB HDD. . Performance (according to benchmarks) is better than in W10, cores are better used and under idle and low loads more cores go to sleep mode and so voltages and heat are lower. What I have is clean and up to date windows and drivers as well as latest BIOS. I find those essential for any system. I always use Ultimate Power Plan and let CPU and BIOS take care of power savings.
There are of course some bugs that bug me, One is Taskbar in auto hide mode, it tends to loose focus if some programs are open, Taskbar would not rise at all or need to click at bottom of the screen for it to show up. Some times there's no clock or anything in the right corner until I set it to always on and than back to auto hide. Same happens in dual booted insider developer so it seems it's not gonna be fixed soon.
I have 2 27" monitors connected but controlling second one is difficult when run in Duplicate mode. Second display/monitor overscans in any mode and so taskbar shows only as thin line.
There is an looong standing problem, probably since W7. if second monitor is off and even not connected, mouse indicator and even open windows can slide off screen to the right and such window dissapears into void and can't be retrieved until restart.
