My miniatures are visible now , no ugly icons anymore !
Another problem appears ; I can not rightclick with the Media Player for showing these .jpg-files , WMP does not show them , while it does for .tif , .gif , etc ................how ( !!) to repair this ??

In Win10 I could open all files ,btw.

I didn't even know that it's possible to open a .jpg file in Media Player. Any special reason you use Media Player for .jpg files?

You can but why is the key question. I can't think of a single reason to use it for that.

Well.,. why not? There is a great photo tool and you can make use of the old version with a reg hack.
But if you want help I suggest starting a new thread/topic about this. More members will see it and chime in

I'm on day 13 of my upgrade, 47 more days left on my revert settings.

The only problem that stands out is relatively minor. After 2-3 days my Chrome browser starts to get scrambled on some pages.
Probably memory corruption, as a reboot always fixes it. Sometimes it's only one day with real hard use.
I do remember several previous Windows versions that needed reboot several times per day.

I'm sure a clean install will fix things, but I have so many programs (Apps?) to reinstall afterwards.
I would also have to rebuild all the other settings too, Ugh.

Maybe an update will fix things. Until then, I won't get psycho over having to reboot every three days. 😁😁

Perform a repair install first.. that might just clear up your issues and you don't have to reinstall a thing.

Wasted too much time in trying to fix the photo-bug in WMP ,thinking of totally removing it from Win11 , if I can not get a working solution soon.......... In the Eventlog ; id=1000 , combase.dll ( the path to the module with the erorr)
Tried sfc /scannow also . Removed WMP /rebooted /re-installed...............nothing helped !!

Yes try repaire install like @BunnyJ said. I also have many apps and some apps has configuration so I installed Win 11 clean install on a second partition and each day I finish some of the migration and when I finish all I will use Aomei Clone to move this Win 11 to main SSD drive.

Have you tried a repair install? Starting a new thread would be best to attract members who can help you.
I have no idea how to fix this since I don't use the media player to view images.. so... try the repair install and then start a new thread.

" EDIT;;; here's the reg hack I was referring to "...........sorry, my friend , but the problem is the Windows Media Player ..........the Windows Photo Viewer works awsome in 11 , less complicated and it opens almost every extension !
Windows Media Player has a very restrict number of extensions it will open , I have even a mediapack installed for it
