I paid for this and regret it. Had to restart Explorer in Task manager at least 2 to 3 times a day.
Now have Startallback because of the task bar fiasco and very pleased with it. Works as intended
and has lots settings.

Same here, never had a single issue with it. It is also frequently updated for compatibility with Windows 11's latest builds and is night and day better in terms of looks and features.

I would never use StartAllBack even though I have a few licenses. It's developer never responds to my support emails. Never buying software run by a single developer again.

No problem with Start11 for me either. And I get to use either the Windows 11 start menu or Start11 depending on my needs. They're both available.

That was exactly my point. When I reported some issue with the software, the developer answered (yes he really did answer, after quite a long time!) me that the fault for that particular problem (which occurred only in a certain version of StartAllBack) should lay in my setup of the system. As I had stored the installation file for the older version, I put back that version and the problem was gone.

When I then traced where the developer is situated, I decided not to use StartAllBack anymore. I know, maybe he cant help the war in Ukraine, but I don't want to support anything or anybody from the country that has started this war!

Far more later, when I had switched over to Start11, there was some report (here in the forum) that this problem was a bug in the StartAllBack software and was solved. But then I already decided to stay at Start11, with which I as well have no problems at all.

Edit: just updated to version 1.4.7.2 (from 1.4.6) without any problem.

I gave it a good shot, about two months and it pretty much got worst as I went along.
I had been using this app in vista when it was designed by the original developer and then
he sold it to whomever. 7 came along and I didn't need it anymore.
Now that I bought a newer notebook I had to contend with the task bar being stuck on
bottom of the screen. I have been using the task bar on the top of the screen since well, can't
remember now but, a long time. So easy to just move the pointer to the top instead.

This one does exactly what I need it to do and I don't have to restart Explorer which was a real
pain.

Kinda agree with you but, maybe not all Russians are bad? That would be akin to saying that all of North Americans
are war mongers which, I don't think would also be right.
Side note, Putin's name is a direct translation (in my language) to whore. First time I heard his name I thought, darn,
I could not live with that.

Plus, have you noticed the caution in Red at the bottom of the app?
My task bar is always hidden. makes for a clean desktop.

I use Start11, Fences4, I have Groupy2 but I believe it’s very buggy so it isn’t loaded. The company itself is pretty useless in my opinion, their support is poor. I’ve read them say “It doesn’t happen when I do it” (so there isn’t a problem) on so many occasions.
However their apps are quite cheap, Start11 I believe I paid about AU$6.75 for (which when converted is currently approx US$4.50) , I’ve bought 10 of it to date, 6 of Fences4 which I find extremely handy. All my computers have these apps loaded. Thanks for the update notice, Maybe the auto check will inform me later.

I hadn't heard of QTTabBar. I'll have to check it out, cheers 🤙

Groupy2 is fantastic If I want to open, lets say Photoshop with Bridge and a Font App & FTP (or whatever) Or all MS apps at once, Word, Excel, Outlook etc (You know how it works) But very glitchy and the controls don't always sit in the most perfect spots at the top corner. I'd make some suggestions to them but I am over communicating with them, I believe they are possibly all 14yo's. Very, very possibly trained Chickens.

With Fences2, I love that saving anything new onto the desktop can automatically be placed in a fence of your choosing for you to move into another fence if desired. I also love the snapshots and that saving the registry along with the snapshot can restore everything nicely on a fresh install. The memory usage is OK, they're always working on it. (NO This is not a sales pitch 😛)

However things like object desktop etc (That I only tried once) is suited to some, but I want functionality not pretty.
