There was a time that if I had to disable SAB I could restart it by going to Control Panel and clicking on SAB. It now works until I try saving the setting of moving the Taskbar from the bottom to the top. Even a computer restart doesn't work. The only way to get SAB working is like you posted, reinstalling it.

what if you manually launch the cfg.exe file?

startisallback is causing my desktop icons to move form my second screen to my main monitor after the display goes to sleep and wakes back up.

Wasn't an issue on older builds but they are no longer compatible with new windows 11 24h2 versions.

I seem to remember there was a setting somewhere so when you launched an app it launched on the active monitor as in the one you clicked on last but I can't find it

To have an application launch on the same monitor it was last opened on, you'll need to ensure that the application is closed while it's positioned on the desired monitor.

FancyZones (PowerToys):
If you have Windows PowerToys installed, you can enable the "Move newly created windows to the current active monitor" setting in FancyZones.

DisplayFusion:
DisplayFusion is a third-party tool that offers more advanced multi-monitor management, including the ability to save and restore window positions. You can use triggers to move windows to specific locations when they are launched.

Sorry, I meant the same monitor which was last used, the monitor you clicked anywhere on last, the one you're probably looking at.
I tried Powertoys Fancyzones, but it didn't work. I have a start menu/taskbar on every monitor. I expected to open an app on the one I was using the start menu on, but it just opened where it was last closed. I wish programs would remember where they were put before closing. If they crash, they forget!

Hello. Does anyone here have an issue where taskbar icons of active apps are not appearing? Is it possible to fix?

In the attachment you can see I have all these apps open and nothing appears on the taskbar until I restart the explorer.exe
