StartAllBack

I tried it out. I kind of like the new start menu. At least, I've gotten used to it, so it doesn't bother me. Is there any way to retain this in AllStartBack?

Back to the original way after updating, touching the top of the left monitor or full screen will opaque the middle monitor. Middle and Right work together as intended.

EDIT: TransluentTB fixes the problems I have here, so I just combine both programs with StartAllBack controlling the segmenting (and other Win11 fixes) with TransluentTB controlling the taskbar backgrounds, a shame as I would rather have one program do it but oh well I have a workaround for my usecase. Thanks!

Strange!

The only anomaly I get with multiple monitors is a W10 style calendar on the secondary monitor...

Hello, people !

I had version 3.1.2 installed. I went to the "about" menu, check for new updates. The program said no. (There is no new release). But on the site, it shows that there is, yes, a new version 3.1.5.
Bug?

Perhaps!
When I check and there is no updates, the link does nothing..., when I check and there is updates, it opens the site in my browser.

Is there anyway to PIN File Explorer to the Start Menu in StartAllBack? I used to be able to do it with Startisback?

Trust me, I want those options as well, but I don't want my Windows 11 to look like Windows 10. If i wanted that, I'd just revert back to Windows 10. MS needs to hurry up and fix this. And I hate using 3rd party software, honestly.

Hey everyone! Has anyone else ran into an issue where padding is much higher for program icons compared to Start, Task View, etc.?

I'm on an HP laptop with a touchscreen but I am not flipped around into the more padded touch UI. My desktop has consistent padding for all icons.

A question for you StartAllBack users...does it support creating toolbars on the taskbar? I use this in Windows 10 for some quick menus. The website is a bit vague about this; it says you can "drag and drop stuff onto the taskbar". I assume that natively Windows 11 does not (yet) support creating taskbar toolbars.

Happy New Year!

Rob

Not sure where official support for StartAllBack is supposed to go, but...

When using the "Proper 11" design combined with the Dark Windows 11 theme and XP-style Flyout Start Menu... when you go to open a submenu and it "pops out" on the right, it briefly draws the shape of the new menu in pure white before filling it in with the dark theme. So, as you mouse over various folders, you keep getting annoying flashes of white followed by the proper menu. This also happens if you set any darkish custom start menu color.

This doesn't seem to be noticeable on the Kinda 10 or Remastered 7 options as it ALWAYS seems to use light-colored flyouts regardless of the custom setting.

Did you try: 'Settings>Explorer>Colorize everything with accent color'?
