StartAllBack

Did you try: 'Settings>Explorer>Colorize everything with accent color'?
Just tried it, doesn't make any difference to the issue. Thanks, though!

Hi!

Is it possible to pin folders to the left panel of the start menu like you could in Windows 7?

It doesn't work the regular way by just right clicking, where it in W7 gave you the option to add a folder and then just drag n drop your pinned shortcuts to it. I've also tried adding a folder to
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\StartMenu
where StartAllBack seems to store your pinned shortcuts but this doesn't do anything, and it doesn't work to add a regular shortcut to this folder either so I'm guessing that something needs to be added somewhere else too to register the shortcuts in the folder mentioned above.

I've gotten so used to having pinned groups in Windows 10, and I have a LOT pinned in these groups. I can put a custom folder in the right panel and put shortcuts in it but that doesn't look very good.

StartAllBack is otherwise awesome, most importantly it brings back the possibility to never combine taskbar icons, those at MS responsible for this deserve an old testament punishment.

Thanks for replying! No that is as I mentioned the right panel, I've already done this. I mean the left panel/column. But I also said that you could do this in Windows 7 but now when I try in my virtual machine for Windows 7 it's not possible so my memory served me wrong.
But anyhow, if I could have a folder like that in the left panel that expanded by hovering it would be great.

Ah this does work, however the folder is not expandable it just acts as a shortcut to the folder opening it in Explorer. I want a folder that has an arrow to the right like the other pinned apps.
I don't think you can pull it off!
You'd be better off creating a Taskbar Toolbar...

Hi, Im using "Windows 11 Pro 21996.1" - Windows Feature Experience Pack 321.14700.0.3

Whenever I try to install the startallback setup it says "This version of StartAllBack is not intended for this Windows version."

I even tried the recent version 3.2.1 but still same error, Could someone please tell me on which windows version it works?

Or will there be any update to work with my windows version?

That's the first leaked version to the final. Why don't you run 22000.376. The software work fine for me with 22000.476

Still two problems keeping me from purchasing;
1. Win + A does not open Action Center, it opens the wi-fi/sound/brightness menu
2. Menu columns fly off the screen if there are a bunch of files in that folder
i.e. Set Music folder to open as menu. Add 150 or so music files, and the menu columns fly off the screen. No way that i know of the change to a single column

1. I don't think StartAllBack has anything to do with that.
... Win+A is Control Center, Win+N is Action Center.
2. Uncheck 000414.png in Custom Folder section.

Thankyou, I installed recent windows and it works flawlessly, it seems like its built in to windows...Even the Start11 from stardock is not as good as this...I really like the uncombine taskbar and segments functionality where the whole taskbar is not filled...looks really modern..

However i liked the colorful corner icons like the "bluetooth" but now everything is just plain...is there any option to change it?

Btw, you can turn a lot of that stuff on or off through classic Control Panel within SAB...
