You can have a look at Windhawk and it's mod store for similar functions as well, never disappoints me for any kind of UI Mods or even performance related stuff as well.

New user here, loving the program, but can someone advise how (assuming possible) to add a new folder to the "all programs" flyout part of the menu? Thanks

Click on start then right click on "All Programs" and select "Open" or "Open all users". You can then create and manage all folders.

You add the folder in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs or ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

startallback says not correct version for my version of windows 11
And I don't use windows update, and I dont need lectures on that
What is the correct version for windows 11 23h2?? so I dont keep getting asked to enable it??

last version 3.9.23 work on 11 22h2 and 23h2

Having black stripe in explorer window, using latest insider beta build (26100.8728) and latest beta startallback 3.9.23.
It was fine in previous win build.

Both versions of windows 11 I am using still show the following popup message?? What do I do to make them go away??
This popup happens with all versions of startallbak I try.
I have disabled all updates for startallback and I wonder where this is coming from so I can stop it!!

Is it worth using the older StartAllBack version from 2 years ago instead of updating?

By removing the SAB scheduled task, I never got the pop-up (unless I manually run the search)

Well on my laptop I am running Windows 11 Pro 21H2 and on 2 of my desktop systems I am running Windows 11 23H2 and I have permanently disabled windows updates as I HAD worked in the I.T. field since Win-95 and I have seen windows updates F.U.B.A.R more times than it fixes things,At least for me for clients I do it by the book!!
For I just download and apply certain updates if I get error messages saying I need something.
I clone all of my O.S drives so if any malware gets me I am good I don't have any issues at all other than startallback giving me that message which I want to make go away permanently.

Thank you very much for the idea I thought about trying that idea earlier today and I have disabled any scheduled tasks relatig to SAB on all 3 of the systems and I will see how it works out.
I replaced the UpdateCheck.exe file with a dummy .exe file to make it stop trying to update but I still kept on getting the pop up message and it has been getting really annoying!!
I dont see a need to update SAB to the newest version as a lot of the updated SAB versions are for features that are not applicable to my win-11 versions >> Windows 11 Pro 21H2 or Windows 11 Pro 23H2 or are features I have removed or disabled as I customized mine install ISO's with the NTLITE app so I could get rid of all of the bloat etc.

I'm also using an old version with Windows 11 23H2, the taskbar progress bar is much better (design)
But forced to update SAB for 24H2+

Thank you I will give that a try if disabling scheduled tasks for SAB on my systems doesnt work.
I am currently at SAB v 3.9.9 right now.
It takes about 5 to 7 days for the pop up message to come back after I update the app.
