System tray not working properly

I recently had a devils own job getting rid of a blank square at the bottom right hand corner of my screen and found it was a snake oil spyware software that was doing it. However since then the system tray is not showing as normal ie some tray icons only and not a pop up tray icon box. see pic
I have tried restarting Windows Explorer deleting the icon cache from the appdata feature and also tried adding the system tray icons from Settings all to no effect. Any help would be really appreciated.

Just drag and drop whatever icons you want to hide (under the arrow), to a point just above the system tray.
That will create the arrow and the spot for the hidden icons.

Thanks Ghot mate that worked a treat the only thing I want to do now is create icons for the Samsung Magician. Network etc for example as I have only two in the tray at the moment - my security one and remove USB safely??

You need to "Turn On" the icons you want to see in the System Tray...
Then, if you want, you can drag them to the hidden area also.

Hmm tried that Ghot but the icons would not budge off the Personalization settings.

Once you turn them on you might have to reboot or restart Explorer.

Ok mate I have restarted Explorer it sort of flickers a bit between percentages and then stops and also I have rebooted but still no go.

You need to turn on Samsung Magician... if you want to see it in the System Tray.

Ok mate I have turned on as you see several icons in the Personalization setting but am still only getting my security system and USB removal icons. Am beginning to think that the system is broke somewhere?

It may be that it's just something that is broken in Windows itself... not just "your" Windows.
It seems my system won't do it either. Macrium is listed in the System Tray list on settings... but toggling it on, and restarting Explorer doesn't work. I'm guessing it's a built in Windows problem.

Maybe just make it a regular Taskbar icon?

Another possibility is to check the settings IN Samsung Magician.
Some programs have their own setting to create a System Tray icon.

Select the audio icon in sys tray then in the open pane select 'edit quick settings' ( icon looks like a pen) it should show what you can add.
