Solved taksbar items missing and/or not respoding

Did you also miss the part where I said I ALSO REMOVED IT
thus the term "was using" and "I uninstalled it when the issues began" and "at the moment I am using NOTHING to alter my task bar or start menu"

If you are not going to help, then don't help...
I didn't mean to offend you, my apologies if I did. Perhaps my phrasing is not perfect, English is not my native language.

You may not be using the software anymore, but installing and removing it probably messed up parts of the Windows Registry. Sometimes these types of software do create a system restore point before changing anything though, so perhaps you could roll back using system restore? Otherwise, a repair install is the way to go. So I would go with humbird's advise, if I were you.

Although I am not familiar with ninite, do you know if it has any undo options in it? Perhaps it wouldn't hurt at this point to re-install it and see if it gives an option to undo anything it changed, although I am doubtful it would work after having uninstalled it.
You might consider the above recommendations I made. If nothing else works you may be headed for a clean install. I am sorry that it has screwed up things, but we all take that risk when using tweaking programs. There are many recommendations on this site for supported tweaking programs.

I didn't mean to offend you, my apologies
Do not apologize. Your point is valid. It should be the OP who should be apologizing for his reaction. There's no excuse for rudeness. Folks continue to use unproven and unsupported obscure software and then think all they have to do is uninstall it and all will be well. Never has that been more untrue than in Windows 11 with its new taskbar and start. They don't like to consider their problems more than likely resulted from their own actions.

Cases like this are prime examples where a user should have a backup to undo changes when one "tries" something.

Not knowing what ninite changed in the registry I would try the inplace repair.
It's worth a shot, but an inplace upgrade won't repair reg entries obscure programs added (or changed or removed) for all users. As long as it is registry keys pertaining to the OS, an inplace upgrade works great, but not so good when it involves any corruption in user accounts. Most software automatically installs for all users. And you're right. Who the heck knows what all third party apps install.

Helpful suggestion. Please when you post try to be as detailed as possible when you are posting about a problem. What you were doing when the problem occurred and what happened as a result. You only mentioned later what you were trying to do. In all fairness I should have asked that question first though. You have reapplied the last windows update?

Ok back to square one then. Try this.
Press Windows + X keys together and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin)

Now type in the following command and hit Enter: You may copy and paste the command below. This will reregister the windows taskbar.

Get-AppXPackage -User ([System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent().Name) *ShellExperienceHost* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Restart the PC once the command is complete.
Let us know.

Just to verify, in post 27 you said fresh download of windows 11. Are you saying you booted from installation media, deleted all the partitions on your hard drive, and then installed Windows from scratch to the unallocated space. This would have deleted your user account, all your files and programs and booted the out of box experience. Sorry to be redundent, but I'm trying to follow along with this. Is that what you did?

I looked this command up on Microsoft community. Many people said it worked for them. After you posted your results, I pasted your results in a search and came up with others that the command did not work for on Microsoft community with the same results.
So, it looks as if it may be a user account issue.
Is windows once again activated after clean install? You are the administrator? I am sorry if it all sound repetitive, but it usually is when trying to get to the bottom of an issue.
Have you checked device manager to make sure all drivers are installed??
When you cleared the cmos did you make sure all settings in BIOS are set correctly for Windows 11?
Did you clear your TPM since you reset cmos?
If you need guidance on any or all of these questions just ask. People here are happy to help.
I am about to call it a night but will recheck this post in the morning.

We did read your posts. It is commonly accepted that all caps are considered shouting. You need not feel ashamed. Sometimes just typing in a forum does not convey things as it should.
Don't give up. I know it is hard and there are many questions to be answered. You will get there though if we can figure out the why of it.

Good for you. Alot of times it can only be suggested to troubleshoot problems. Sometimes an update fixes problems if the problem is with Windows. Sometimes it is other software conflicts. Sometimes hardware can be the issue. Hard to know without asking questions. Sometimes it is hard to know even asking questions. Glad to see you got it fixed for yourself.
