Transferring from Win10(Old PC) to Win11(New PC)

Hello,

1. Does it means my Win10 is transferable to Win11 on new hardware?

2. Do I need to install Win10 on my PC then upgrade to Win11?

3. "Digital license linked to MS account" is it means just log in with MS account and the PC will activate automatically?

4. Do I need to de-activate old PC ?

Given the image above, I thought it was? Do you have a license for Win 10/11 (interchangeable)?

If that's been done previously with a win 10/11 license, then yes. Once activated, remove the MS account and run under a local account

Bear in mind that there is NO difference between a Windows 10 license and a Windows 11 license. A valid license for either OS is also a valid license for the other OS. So, as far as licensing is concerned, if you have a Win 10 license, then you also have a Win 11 license for the same edition (Home edition in your case).

If your Windows license is linked to your Microsoft account, signing in on the new PC should activate Windows automatically.

If you see this error:

"We can't activate Windows on this device because the product key was already used on another device. If you think it wasn't used on another device, select Troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004C008"

you can fix it using the Activation Troubleshooter:

Settings > System > Activation > Troubleshoot > I recently changed hardware on this device > This is the device that I'm using at the moment > Activate.
