Very strange laptop issue

Just got my new HP laptop going. Everything went OK except for one issue. I'm a Google devotee. On this new computer all websites look normal except for one local news site. On the site, banners use the full page but the text articles are like in a small box (50%?) with much smaller fonts. Like I say, banners on this site stretch all the way across the page but not the articles themselves. On my three other laptops (all using Google), whenever I bring up the same local news site, all looks normal but not on the new unit. And deleting and reentering site does no good as it comes back skewed - only on this particular site and only on new laptop. thx.

Have you got a link to the site for folk to try?

Have you tried looking at that site in other browsers?

Since three out of my four other laptops (all using Google) do not experience this at all on the same site, I have to think the problem lies in my new PC. I must have accidently changed a setting that only affects only my laptop and only that site..

Could Chrome needs updating? I would also install all Windows updates, just in case any system component affects that website. If you don't type the URL directly, but search for it and click on the result makes any difference?

Reset the browser to default settings then make your personal preferences one by one.

You could try signing in to 2 browsers (might as well let Google see your browsing habits, Microsoft already does!) and synch between the 2 (altho there's always the danger that the "good" browser with synch with the "bad" browser's settings ....)
