Hi

I have installed Win11 Pro on my Lenovo P14s (gen1).

Im expirencing some weird networking issues, and i can't for the life of me figure out how to solve them.

I have 3 different issues:
  1. When ever i connect a LAN cable into the NIC, windows wont detect link unless i deactivate and reactivate the NIC.
  2. I periodicly loose connection to the network. After a 20-30sec it comes back without me doing anything. This also happens using a USB-C dock.
  3. When i ping my router the latency is always 3ms or higher (it should be 1ms or lower).
I have tried reinstalling Win11 and made sure to have all the newest driveres installed. No dice.

When i reinstalled Win10, all of the issues dissapeared.

Have anyone experienced something similar?

Welcome to the forum. Do you know model of network adapter? Have you checked for updates and installed and updates? There were several problems with some network cards which a update should fix

I agree. I had the same issue when I installed Windows 11, however once I installed the updated drivers I needed, everything has been fine since.

As mentioned above, possible driver issues - could also be a faulty ethernet cable - I've had that before so worth replacing the ethernet cable.

Also could be an issue with your router - restart that and try different ports to see if you get the same issues.

If you're using an Intel based ethernet adapter, obtain the latest ProSet drivers from their website - there's some additional tools you can also too which allows you to do tests on the ethernet adapter and also the ethernet cable and will display any errors.
