Visual Studio - While (notCoding) {sleep();}
Blender - tough to use, but very powerful for designing graphics
Paint.NET - best paint program out there for free
DaVinci Resolve - video editing extra-ordinaire
Sysinternals Suite - another must have
Librehardware monitor - monitor those vital system stats, and it's free
Office 365 - obviously
Unity - for .NET content creation.
VMWare Workstation - for virtual machines
MalwareBytes - need an anti-virus
OrCAD - for printed circuit design
CDBurnerXP - Great for burning CD/DVDs, but get the version without the malware in it
BullZip - for making PDFs
CPU-Z - hardware monitoring and information
MP3Gain - set all your MP3s to the same gain - makes the volume leveled out
WinMerge - file comparison/merging at it's finest
MobaXterm - an awesome terminal program, and there is a free version that isn't severely crippled
ThunderBird - great email program
Firefox - a wonderful browser
Various CAD programs - a whole lot of them
Greenfish Icon Editor - great for making icons, or editing existing ones
Notepad++ - IMHO, the best text/programmer's editor out there. I use it for almost everything
InkScape - a vector file editing program
Ableton Live - score those movies you make with Da Vinci Resolve

Here is a fantastic tool for correcting perspective errors in photos, particularly of buildings.


It's called ShiftN

"Converging lines in photographs, particularly of buildings, forests and so on, can often detract from the desired effect. Architectural elements in photographs often have diagonal lines, but the mind thinks of buildings as having vertical and horizontal lines. Converging lines are caused by the film-plane being angled relative to the object of the photo, and that effect can be avoided optically by the use of either a shift lens (quite expensive) or the use of a medium or large-format view camera having swing features. With a shift lens, the lens itself is shifted perpendicularly to the z-axis, so that the film level can remain parallel to the subject. Shift lenses are mechanically and optically more complex than standard lenses, which is why they are comparatively expensive. Often, one is shooting with a "point and shoot" camera, where the option of changing lenses does not exist. The advent of digital photography or scanning existing photos from prints opens up new possibilities for manipulating the picture. Here is where ShiftN shows its strength."
