I'm surprised that you should have to do this on such new hardware. I recently installed 24H2 on a much older ASUS x299 system board. This didn't go without a hitch but I did eventually get it to take as a local account without help from Rufus. I can't recall what the issue with the upgrade was at the time but I had to use a stand alone installer for an update in order to get there. Obviously I'm talking about a much older "Windows 11 Ready" platform. In your case you should not have to stoop to allowing for installation on an unsupported build in the least bit. (No pun intended.) Keep us posted.According to chatGPT, this old Insider Preview version of my system has a blocked update channel, which also prevents me from updating from an ISO via USB. He recommended trying a few settings in Rufus, which might help, including:
Rufus will display a special window with installation options.
Select:
Remove TPM 2.0 requirements
Remove Secure Boot requirements
Allow installation on unsupported builds ← MOST IMPORTANT
Preserve user data (if available)
I'll be trying this option soon – Allow installation on unsupported builds – if there's one to check in Rufus.
