in Windows 11 , I forgot my pin which i changed recently, now when i click on forgot my pin , it couldn't connect to the internet , a pop up appears and it says you'll need internet for this though i am already connected to the wifi

I tried connecting the laptop through ethernet cable and connecting it through hotspot as well but no change, it still shows the same error.

Could you please help me in fixing this issue

Can you select the option to use your password? Below the box where you type in your pin there should be two icons. One is to use your pin and the other is to use your password.

You can likely do option 5 here to get into the built-in administrator account. Then you should be able to change settings and set a password for your normal user account that will allow you to log in.

Make sure you are getting to a command prompt using one of the methods outlined in the second tutorial linked to in the first tutorial:

It sounds like you are in a command prompt running from the installed Windows 11. You need to be in a Command Prompt from the recovery environment.

Windows 11. Get to login prompt. Choose "Other login option". Tell it to use the Microsoft Authenticator App. Use your Cell Phone to login. Then change your pin. Hope this helps.
