Windows 11
Guys, I need help. I have a notebook I bought 3 months ago, an Alienware M15 R6, with Windows 11.
I have the known problem that the machine wakes up at night, when it is in hibernation.
It turns out that I've already looked through the literature on the internet, including the Windows 10 forum, I've done numerous things in the operating system, but it keeps “waking up” in the middle of the night.
I've done everything.
I have already disabled all the wake up options in the device manager (mouse, keyboard, network card).
In the task scheduler, I have already disabled the tasks that could wake up the system one by one.
In the control panel, under system and maintenance, the option to activate the system is already disabled.
In power options, I already disabled the option to wake up which was active in hibernation.
I've already made changes to the registry creating keys to disable system maintenance, power options....
The powercfg checks at the command prompt I've done all...
Jesus Christ, someone could shed some light how to disable this!

The next time your computer mysteriously wakes from hibernate do the following:
open a command prompt and type powercfg -a take a screenshot of it
then type powercfg -lastwake take a screenshot of it
Please post the 2 screenshots

I suggest you post your PowerCfg -a results now.
- Run PowerCfg -a in any cmd / PS / Terminal window.
- You can just select all the text in the window then paste it here as text [but do check it after posting & put back in all its line returns if the act of posting drops them].

All the best,
Denis

Welcome to ElevenForum.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page [within the Tutorials dropdown list].
- At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
- I download a new copy each month.
- By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
- Tutorials are also listed at Tutorials - there's a shortcut to that at the top of every page.

You can search ElevenForum using the search box in the top-right corner of all ElevenForum webpages or using Advanced Search - ElevenForum
- You can also search ElevenForum threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:elevenforum.com after your search term. For example,
Taskbar setup site:elevenforum.com
- [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of ElevenForum webpages does automatically]

In addition to what has already been suggested, I noticed that among the things you looked at, you did not mention the BIOS settings. Many BIOS have an option to wake a system at a specific time. Make sure that this option is not enabled.

@JeffersonMor For us to narrow down what is waking your system, the next time it goes to sleep run the powercfg /lastwake command.
Or, you can run it right now if the last time it woke up, it did so erroneously.

This issue has been popping up from time to time on the MS board and takes some digging to solve since it is not caused by the same thing every time. Here are some things you can try to find your culprit.

This tells you what device are allowed to wake your system
  1. First, type powercfg -devicequery wake_armed into the Command Prompt. This will tell you which devices are causing your Windows 10 computer to wake up.
2.Then press the Windows key + R on your keyboard.
3.Next, type devmgmt.msc into the search bar and click OK.
4.Select the device that’s causing your computer to wake up and double-click it. This will open up the device’s properties.
    5.Then click the Power Management
6.Finally, untick Allow this device to wake up the computer and click OK.

You could search Windows’ Event Viewer for information:
Click the Start menu, search for Event Viewer, and launch the tool. In the sidebar, head to Windows Logs > System, then click the Filter Current Log button on the right side of the window. Choose Power-Troubleshooter from the Event Sources drop-down menu and click OK to see all the times your computer woke up recently and what caused them.

Disable Wake on Lan
Here is a very in depth article that should help you if you follow all the troubleshooting steps.

One of these suggestions should help you.
