I told her that as far as I know there isn't a Windows 13 . . . Would Microsoft actually create Windows with the unlucky number 13? (I didn't say that to her, but I was thinking it.)

Well, she knew because she's a beta tester . . . that's when I told her I have been testing Microsoft products since 1985 and have never heard of it.

That's when she didn't let her shirt tail hit her in the A$$ on her way to report us to the Director. She told the Director that we were teaching everything all wrong and didn't know what we were doing. The Director told her the students are beginners and we were teaching them what they need . . . but I digress

I realize Microsoft could be working on Windows 13 in secret, but all I could find in my search was that there were rumors of a Windows 13 in 2019.

So, the burning question is: Do any of you know if Microsoft is working on Windows 13????

Not to alarm you but thank your lucky stars that, that intruder did not have a firearm or the situation could have been drastically different even with her husband nearby.

Where was school security when this happened?

Similar to after-school athletics where the parents know better than the coaches and or referees and fights break out.

Actually it will be Windows 14s (Windows for teens) to continue the ongoing dumbing down of Windows.

The evential plan is you will no longer be able to type text in alphanumeric characters. You will only be able to use a global emoji language i.e you can only construct sentences in emojis.

Ummm, this wasn't in school, it was in my Senior Citizen classroom. And for the record, no "harsh" words were spoken. It seemed more like a discussion we were having. Thing is, that when she left our classroom, she went straight to the Director and told her we were doing it all wrong. Oh, and I missed the part where she said two "A Personalities" could never be in the same room together! I have never been, and will never be an A Personality!

On a more serious note, if you google Windows 13, there is a link for a Windows 13 iso download - which I haven't clicked on as it's probably a dodgy infected site. Your student may have been downloading fake virus type stuff.

Apparently 13 is considered a lucky number in China and Thailand. It's really only in Western countries (and not even all of them) that it is considered unlucky. However, I'm sure you are right - MS won't want to lose a single customer by calling it W 13.

I did search for Windows 13, but don't use Google.

So, I guess that's why I didn't see the link you reference.

This woman is not, and will never be a student, Ethel. Although we're a democratic group, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. And in this case, although a vote wasn't taken, it was pretty obvious the class didn't want her as a member.
