Windows keeps bugging me with those updates

I choose the option "hide for now" but after few minutes,the tray icon is there again
I switch to another software because I did not like how Nahimic worked but windows insist on installing it again....and that 24H2update too I don't hear good things about

I can't help you with the driver updates. Personally, I never heard of Nahimic. However, I installed the 24H2 update over a week ago (12/5/2024) and had another update (KB5048667) on Thursday. So far I haven't seen any issues with either of them. I found a web page from MS that detailed all of the issues with 24H2. But I don't remember what the link was. None of the 24H2 issues were anything I care about.

Install both and be done with it. It really is that simple.
They are both elements of the Nahimic overlay Audio App popular on many Laptops.

You must learn how to configure your applications, I get no Nahimic related tray icon.
Settings > System > Notifications > scroll down to Nahimic > Off.
Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar > Other system tray icons > A-Volute NS > Off.
If in the Startup Apps then, Task Manager > Startup Apps, disable it.

Of course you can if you wish, but you will just double the configurations you have not done, probably for no result.

Believing what you read on the internet from dubious sources is a mistake.

Mine has 2 Blocks for the 24H2 version update so it is not offered and probably will not be for a few months.

Just an item of note, if you have problems or don't like Nahimic it's easy to disable under your Services window. Type Services in your search window, select Nahimic Service, right click on it to stop the service, then select properties and choose disable and it will no longer load or run.
