In the past few days when I wake my computer from sleep, there is a message sitting on my desktop.
Please see the image below. This is the error code: 0x800704cf
The code at the bottom tends to change slightly.

There are no other problems. I click the Cancel button, and all is good until the next time I wake it from sleep.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Googling seems to reference Microsoft Store issues, but I have no problems with Microsoft Store.
I restored a system image, but the problem soon returned.

I suggest using WinSpy. It can identify the software that called a dialog.

Thanks for your reply, @FreeBooter and @Try3 .
I used both applications. Process Explorer tell me it's WWAHost.exe and WinSpy just says it's explorer.exe. See screenshots below.
I'll have to investigate it further.

This is the full (current directory) path from Process Explorer Properties as posted above.

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.LanguageExperiencePacken-GB_22621.19.126.0_neutral__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.CloudExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy

So, it seems that it's a Microsoft Language Experience Pack en-gb.
Inside that folder and sub-folders are files and folders dated May 26, 2023 and with a time of 3:58 PM.

Microsoft Language Experience Pack en-gb is not listed in Apps or Programs & Features or I'd probably uninstall it. It's not in Windows Update history either.

I think I've found it.
It's listed in Apps as "English (United Kingdom) Local Experience Pack", but "Uninstall" is grayed out.

Is there a reset or repair option at setting page?

I believe that Windows Feature Experience Pack has to do with Apps etc and Microsoft Language Experience Pack is for updating the language you use.
Language Experience Pack is easily uninstalled/installed with no real effect. Uninstalling Windows Feature Experience Pack would affect new Apps and features and App updates so not a good idea.

I'm starting to think that it might be Microsoft Windows Cloud Experience Host.
Have a look at the long path below which Process Explorer is pointing to.

I'm having the same issue but my configuration path is missing the Language Experience part. I think its because I'm in North America.
This error started happening to me a few weeks ago but before then I didn't have any error messages when I resumed from sleep mode. Maybe it's a bug in whatever Windows.CloudExperienceHost is?
My Config Path C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.CloudExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\

Hey everyone, I was able to fix it on my computer by resetting the FeedBack Hub App. You can reset it by searching for Feedback Hub, then right click on its icon under best match, then left click on app settings, scroll down and then click on reset.

I've reset the Feedback Hub. How did you discover that?
I'll see how it goes now.

My issue only appears on the desktop after waking the computer from sleeping overnight.
I'll report back on whether it's fixed or not.

Hey sorry I thought it was fixed but its back again. I was thinking maybe feedback hub had something todo with it since it looked like it was trying to send feedback to micrsoft.

No problem. I appreciate any help I can get.

Both of our paths point to Microsoft Windows Cloud Experience Host.
The only problem is how to fix it. It could also be a modern app causing it.

But I'm puzzled how it does it when the computer is asleep. Unless it stores the time stamp at the bottom until the computer wakes.

You can check transitions between power-sleep states in Event viewer.
You can set up an Event viewer, Custom view that lists them.
You can import the Power - Sleep-Hibernate-S0 transitions Custom view I use for this - Import Custom view - #4 - TenForums [read from the line starting with I suggest through to that beginning On a similarly confusing note]
This Custom view definition works in both Win10 & Win11 and in both S3 Sleep computers & S0 Modern standby computers.

I don't know if your computer is an S3 Sleep one or an S0 Modern standby one.
You can find out by running the command
PowerCfg -a
