Able to Configure 'Weather and More'?

I have the new 'Weather and More' widget on my home screen. Is it configurable, on what panels come up? I couldn't find anything about that. I get Weather, Stocks and NBA - who chose that - I have seen pictures online with other panels. It's been that way since I first saw the widget change from just weather. I hope it's configurable, thanks for your thoughts!

if you open the widgets board (usually by hovering the mouse over the widgets icon in the taskbar), then you may notice a "..." three dots symbol in the top right-hand corner of many widgets. If you don't immediately see that, you may have to hover the mouse pointer over the actual widget you want to configure, before it becomes visible.

Likely configuration options are "pin widget", "hide this widget" and "customise". If you choose "customise" on the weather widget then you just get an option to select default location of the weather report. Other widgets may have other options. "Stories" widgets have an "x" symbol next to the "...", which you can use to hide the story, if you would prefer. You might have to hover the mouse over that widget, to see the "..." and "x" symbols on a "story" widget.

There are also some global widget board settings. To access these, click the mouse pointer over the "cog" symbol that is available in the top right corner of the widget board. One such option is "show or hide feeds." This, as it says, allows you to "choose which feeds appear on your board." You might find that useful too, if you want final control over what panels come up.

Thanks. I went to the widget board and changed it so Ihave 3 pinned feeds Weather, Markets, and Traffic. But when I Ctrl-Alt-Del to the Lock Screen, the Weather and More widget still shows Weather, Markets, and Trending in the NBA :-( That must be set elsewhere...

Ah okay. In that case navigate to settings > personalisation > lock screen status. Click on the upside-down "^" symbol and untick "Weather", or whatever you'd like to change. I don't get Markets and Trending in the NBA. If they are not de-selectable there then I don't know where they would be.

These changes to the lock screen on my PC have been very flunky to say the least. I'm using Windows 11 Insider Beta Channel.
First day after installation the lock screen worked as intended with "Weather and more' enabled except the location was wrong. Next day no weather and more and it changed my custom picture back to those awful things selected by MS. Yesterday it all worked fine. Today no weather and more but my custom picture showed up as it should.


MS, this is a shambolic implementation of a new feature.

@iko22 I don't see any choices there other than turning "Weather and More..." on and off? I am on beta 22635.420, maybe you are on a later version?

Okay, if you are on Insider, then I know you can use Vivetool to enable/disable experimental features. Here is forum tutorial on how to go about that:


To use Vivetool you need to know the feature ID code of the feature that you want to change, which as the tutorial says, can all be found in the Vivetool's FeatureDictionary.pfs file. Step 7 of the tutorial shows you how to recover that file, and read the IDs.

I've turn off the 'Weather and more' from the lock screen and changed the setting to 'None'. I'm not interested in the stock market, sport etc. I've had widgets turned off for over a year. I don't want the news according to Microsoft fed to me via Windows 11.

All I want is for MS to get Windows to stop changing the lock screen wallpaper of my choice to show and not their Windows spotlight choices which are mostly poor-quality images anyway.
