Amazon scamming customers again!


Yes... the smaller the country, the more often one will have to rely on 3rd party retailers.
And yes, as I mentioned... at least look for shipped (fullfilled) by Amazon.

Also, PCPartPicker is a valuable shopping asset for computer parts. It finds the lowest prices among the retailers in that country, and has links for the item at those retailers.
This makes finding the sold and shipped by items, easier to find.

I just noticed that after 2AM, my typing ability degrades rapidly. :D

"Shipped by" relates to the seller of the product, not the deliverer. "Delivered by" is different from "Shipped by"

EDIT P.S. I still don't trust online market sellers anyway, although it's fun analysing the marketing weasel-words they use in a product description/selling details. Bit like detecting scam emails.

I'll agree that most reviews aren't worth reading. As for quality, that's not at the control of Amazon. You can find crap no matter where you buy from. We can't even trust well known American brands any more because a lot of them are now owned by over seas corporations. When one decides to buy online they need to carefully read the products info. If the product turns out to be not as specified and /or crap, the buyer should report it and if still possible return it. I think the big question about Amazon is do the supprt their custors or not?

I want to know as soon as possible if a purchase was made on any of of my credit cards. If you were setup to be notified by your credit card company and not just Amazon you would know right away if you were charged for anything and wouldn't have to wait until you received your monthly statement. It's a personal choice so I guess we look at it differently.

And I was referring to my guitar. It's an Epiphone (Gibson) and it was made in China. It's perfect. It's not where it's made that's the issue, it's who made it.

I don’t believe I have ever looked at where something I’ve bought, was made. I’ve seen the odd anti-china comments here and there. I call them out. I believe my Ovation 12 string was possibly made in China, it is also perfect.

My buddy, the guitarist from my old band, who now owns and operates a music store, once said that Ovation keeps a strict, close eye on their outsource manufacturers.

Absolutely. I read the same from many people before purchase. I actually read a whole story written about Ovation, by Melissa Etheridge, who swears by them. They make them in both USA and China. It depends on what you ask for I believe, I didn’t make a preference.

Yes, and I validated it with them. (y) 🙏
It came from a music store (Via Amazon) in the USA when our dollar was good. Risky but paid off. Saved about AU$600
