Auto Rotate greyed out

I have a 2 in 1 laptop and I cannot use it as a tablet as the auto rotate is greyed out, wasn't always like this. Ive watched a few youtube vids and downloaded the drivers but nothing has worked so far. Not too tech savvy so any help would be awsome.

My Auto-rotate stays greyed out until I undock the screen from the keyboard.

I gave up on understanding why it was greyed out and installed iRotate instead.
It has proved to be convenient & reliable in both Windows 10 & 11.
