Black border in explorer and other default apps

Hello,

on all my PCs, I have these black borders when I start Windows Explorer or Calculator.

I know it's default selected item, but it's ugly :cautious:. I don't remember I have this one in W10.

Is there a way to hide this, or change color ?

  • Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
  • Navigate to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Color

  • Find HotTrackingColor.
  • Modify the value (RGB format: "R G B" like "0 120 215").
  • Sign out or reboot to apply changes.
I am not sure if that will also change the calculator border.
